Question 2 Ans;

1)Battery

Battery is one of the important elemants in the Automotive wiring circuit. Here in the battery, chemical energy is converted in to the electrical energy. Battery will give the required electricity to run the vehicle in the EV.

and in ICE vehicles battery will give the required amount of electricity to run the Accessories of the car.

In Evs Battery Capacity will be very high upto 800V, meantime in ICE vehicles doesn't have the High capacity batteries. 12V battery will be there for starting the vehicle and for the accessories.

2)Ammeter

An instrument that measures the flow of electrical current in an electrical circuit in 'amperes'.

it always connected in the series with the circuit.

an ammeter is used to measure the magnitude of the current.

it has very low resistance & high voltage drops across the ammeter is very low and this doesn't affect the measurement accuracy.

3)Generator

Generator is also one of the important parts in the vehicle. it converts the mechanical energy in to electrical energy.

generator is also known as an alternator.

it is always connected parallel with battery in the circuit.

it produces the electricity while the vehicle is running, and the produced electricity will help to charge the battery which is there in the ICE vehicles.

to prevent the overcharging, the alternator is equipped with a voltage regulator that adjusts the amount of output voltage, providing 13.5 to 14.5 V.

it generates the alternating current in the stator and the rectifiers is required to convert the alternating current to direct current.

Question 5 Ans;

1)The Headlights- The Headlights of a car are always connected in parallel. because of the safety aspect.

if the headlights are connected in series, then when one of the headlights don't work, others also will not work. in series connection there is one path for electricity to flow.

2)The Generator- The generator in an automotive circuit is always connected in parallel with storage battery.

An alternator is connected in parallel with the battery and other electrical components in a vehicle's electrical system because it is designed to charge the battery while the vehicle is running.

When an alternator is connected in parallel with the battery, the voltage it produces is the same as the voltage of the battery. This allows the alternator to charge the battery by providing it with additional current, while at the same time providing power to other electrical components in the vehicle.

Question 6 Ans;

The Ignition Circuit is an example of wiring in series. In this Ignition circuit all the components will receive the same amount of current from the source.

The Ignition coils, The Ignition Switch, Resistors, breakers all are connected in series.

The Ammeter is always connected with series connection.

An ammeter is a device used to measure electric current in a circuit. It is typically connected in series with the other components in the circuit because it measures the current flowing through the circuit by measuring the voltage drop across its terminals.

When an ammeter is connected in series, it becomes a part of the current path. This means that all the current flowing through the circuit must pass through the ammeter. As a result, the ammeter can accurately measure the current flowing through the circuit by measuring the voltage drop across its terminals, which is directly proportional to the current flowing through it.

3)Question 3 Ans;

15A fuse rating should be selected, if the normal steady state current is 10 amps.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question4 Ans;

Actually It depends on several factors like

##the electrical component which we are using

##time duration of the electrical components to be used

##type of the battery

##discharge rate

%%% 500W Load

if we are using 12V battery, the battery capacity will be 41.66amph.

if we are using 48V battery, the battery capacity will be 10.41amph.
