Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1. Aim :
The major elements in the above automotive wiring diagram.
Description ;
1. Battery
2.Starter
3.Generator
4.Ignition Coil
5.Fuse
6.Breaker
7.Distributor
8.Junction Block
2.Aim :
Explanation the purpose and working of any three elements brefily
Description:
1.Generator :
It transforms the mechanical energy to electrical energy through the principle of electro magnetic induction in which the copper coil is tightly wounded on to a metal coil is rotated between the poles of a horse shoe magnet. The conductor coil along with its core is known has armature.
Purpose :
The main purpose of using the generators are useful appliances that supply electrical power during a power outage and prevent discountinutiy of daily activites or disruption of business. Generators are available in different electrical and physical configurations for use in different applications.
2.Battery :
It is a device that tranforms chemical energy into electrical energy. It consists of anode(-)cathode(+) and electrolysis. The battery works on the priciple of potential difference when the switch is turned on all the anode comes to the negative terminal of the battery and tries to move from left to right tries to settle at the empty space in the same why the cathode particles act to the postive terminal and thus potential difference is created
Purpose :
The purpose of using an battery is to provide and energy for the devices with no current supply so that we can use where ever we go and for compact devices it is best to use battery.
3.Fuse :
It consists of current conducting strip or wire of easily fusabile metal that melts and thus interrupts the circuit of which it is a part whatever that curcuit is made to carry a current larger than that is not intedened to carry a screw plug fuse is commonly used domestic electrical systems .
purpose:
The fuse breaks the circuit if there is fault in the appliances causing to much current to flow.this protects the wiring and the appliances from damages.
3.Aim:
If the total load is 10A from battery, what should be the fuse rating
Description :
The fuse rating for 10 A is 10.01 beacuse the fuse will melt the metal if the total load increases above 10 A
4.Aim :
Identify any two elements which are connected parallel to each other. Why they are connected in parallel?
1.Distributor
2.Fuel guage and ignition sw a
These are connected in parallel because if one accesory is not working then remaining will work. These are designed if one stops working then the other should work
5.Aim:
Identify any two elements which are connected in series. Why they are connected in series?
1.Junction block
2..Scaled beam,horn and parking lamp
These are connected in series because if one accesory stops working then other also stops working these are designed to stop the entire block
