a) Battery:(A) Working of battery:
#a battery is a device that stores chemical energy and converts it to electrical energy.
#the chemical reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons from one material to another,through an external circuit.
#the flow of electrons provides an electric current that can be used to do work.
#for balancing the flow of electrons,charged ions are flow through an electrolyte solution that is in contact with both electrodes.
(B) Purpose of battery:
#the purpose of battery is to stores chemical energy and converts it to electrical energy.
#a battery supplies DC current to the appliances.
b) Fuse:(A)working of fuse:
#the fuse works on the basic principle of the heating effect of the current.
#when the excessive current or heat is generated due to heavy current flows in the circuit,the fuse melts down due the low melting point of the element and it opens the circuit.
#the excessive flow may lead to the breakdown of wire and stop the flow of current.
#the fuse can be replaced or changed with new one with suitable ratings.
(B) purpose of fuse:
#the fuse acts as a circuit breaker which is used to break the circuit when the sudden fault occurs in the circuit.
#whenever the heavy amount of current or an excessive current flow is there in an electrical circuits,the fuse melts and it opens the circuit and disconnects it from the power supply.
c)Generator:(A)working of generator:
#electric generators works on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
# a conductor coil is rotated rapidly between the poles of a horseshoe type magnet.
#the conductor coil along with its core is know as armature.
#the armature is connected to a shaft of a mechanical energy source such as a motor and rotor.
#the mechanical energy required can be produced by engines operating on fuels such as diesel,petrol,natural gas etc.
#when the coil rotates ,it cuts the magnetic field which lies between the poles of magnet.
#the magnetic field will interfere with the electrons in the conductor to induced a flow of electric current inside it.
(B)purpose of generator:
#the purpose of generator is to converts mechanical energy into electrical enegy and distribution over power lines to domestic,commercial,and industrial customer.
