Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1.Ans:MAJOR ELEMENTS IN THE DIAGRAM:

  • Starter
  • Battery
  • Ammeter
  • Fuse
  • Igniation coil
  • Distributer
  • Generator

2.Ans:

BATTERY

  • It is one of the important device, which is used to provide the current to whole system.
  • It is responsible for the ignition, by which the spark is produced for all the cyclinders.
  • It is all used to store the energy for the future purpose, from the generator.

 AMMETER:

  • It is the device that is used the measure the current flowing in the system.

FUSE

  • It is used to protect the system, if there is any high voltage passes  it identifies it and stops the supply.

3.Ans:

load is 10 A

To find : Fuse rating

We know that the fuse rating should always be greater than the load, which is 125% of the load

125/100* 10= 12.5 A

Fuse rating should be 12.5 A

4.Ans"

Given Data:

P=500W

To find:

Voltage & Current

Sol:

From the hint we can get the voltage which is 12V

For current , we know that P= V* I

                                         I=P/V= 500/12= 41.6 Amps

for amphs/ hour 41.6* 60=2500Ah

So the voltage should be 12V & Capacity should be 2500AH.

5.Ans:

The fuel on/off  is connected to gas limit section for which there is a bulb which is in parallel.

Its because, when the gas limit gets to empty, the current will get stop of which the lights in the fuel on/off indicator will get off , and cant able to see the the indicator, so the lights are connected in parallel.

The basic diagrammatic representation is attached.

6.Ans:

Fuse and Ammeter is connected in series.

Its because fuse needs to know the full current flowing from the ammemter so that it can cut the supply if there is more current flowing.
