Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
Q1-major elements in automotive wiring diagram is
1-junction box,2-generator,3-current and voltage regulator, 4-ignition coil,5-distributor, 6-starter, 7-ammeter, 8-ignition switch, 9-battery, 10-fuse
Q2-1-starter (also starter motor) is a device used to rotate (crank) an IC engine so as to initiate the engine's operation under its own power.
2-battery is a rechargeable battery that is used to start a motor vehicle. Its main purpose is to provide an electric current to the starting motor to start the IC engine.
3-ignition coil (also spark coil) is an induction coil in an automobile's ignition system that transforms the battery's voltage to the thousands of volts needed to create an electric spark in the spark plugs to ignite the fuel.
Q3-If the total load is 10A from battery, what should be the fuse rating?Hint- take battery voltage =12V
Total load is 10A , battery 12V
Watt =ampere × voltage=10×12=120
Fuse rating=watt/voltage ×1.25=120/12×1.25=12.5
Q4-If 500W is the load, what is the voltage and capacity of battery you recommend? Hint- take battery voltage =12V
Load-500W, battery -12V
Ampere=watt/voltage=500/12=41.6A
Q5-Identify any two elements which are connected parallel to each other. Why they are connected in parallel?
1-horns are parallel connected in this wiring because of the Horn operate equally and loud.this accessories is operated in only 12 volt.
2-parking lamp are parallel connected in this wiring because of the lamp operate equally and bright this accessories is operated in only 12 volt.
Q6-Identify any two elements which are connected in series. Why they are connected in series?
1-ignition switch are series connected in this wiring because of this is type of a switch this is used to the no and off system.
2-horn button are series connected in this wiring because of this is type of a switch this is used to the Horn is no or off .
