Brand and Redesigning.

What is a Brand

A brand is the name, term, design, symbol or any other feature that identifies one
seller’s products from other sellers.Brands are utilized in every aspect of the
business,marketing and advertising.
● Brands are there in all of the industries.
● Popular automotive brands are.
● BMW,Audi,Mercedes,Ferrari,Lamborghini,Porsche,Volvo.Aston
Martin,Honda,Toyota,Maruti Suzuki,Tata Motors etc.
● The above list include a wide range of brands who manufactures cars from luxury to
common man’s cars.The list is incomplete.There are a large no of brands out
there.Only some are mentioned.

● Audi is a German Automobile company.
● They produce luxury cars.
● Audi is under Volkswagen group.
● Audi in its modern form starts in 1960.
● The name Audi comes from the surname of the founder “August Horch”.The name
converts to Audi in Latin,which means “listen”.
● They achieved lots of Race titles.
● Once they were winning all the rally racing,because of the very good All wheel drive
system known as “Quattro”
● The quattro incorporates a torsen differential as a central differential.
● The All wheel drive setup of Audi was and is an industry leader.

● The car that i will choose is a Audi Ur Quattro.
● This Car won so many titles in the Group B rally because they are ahead of the other
competitors in case of AWD capability.
● Then the name “Quattro” became their brands most important selling point.
● They are highly capable all wheel drive mechanism,Now also.
● The car was a 2 door Coupe developed for Group B rally competition.
● It had a 2133 cc inline 5 Cylinder engine producing a peak power of 302 hp at 6700 rpm
and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 3700 rpm.
● The car had a Bosch LH Jetronic fuel injection.
● The competition version consists of carbon-Kevlar body shell and wider wheel arches.

● The Current generation Audis Also have the Quattro name associated with them.
● But modern quattros are electronic controlled rather than the 1980’s mechanical
quattro.
● Now they offer all the electronics with the cars.
● They have ABS,EBD,ADAS, Cruise control,Traction control,Automatic Breaking ,
Autonomous driving capability etc.

The Audi Grille.
Currently the Audi lineup is offered with all the new technologies which were not there in the
Audi Quattro S1.
Now a days the grille of the Audi is same irrespective of the car.The special grill is a design
feature of Audi.
Lots of other manufacturers also utilize nearly the same Grill design.
But This grill design is becoming a distinctive feature of modern audis with the Audi logo
placed at the top of the grill.
