In this project, participants will get to experience the entire design process from modelling, analysis, design, and preparation of construction drawings. The architectural drawings of a G+3 RCC building is provided. The following information on the building is to be used:
The walls will be made of AAC blocks. Other loadings are to be calculated as per the architectural drawings.
The buildings rests on type 3 soil. Piles of length 10 meters and 500 mm diameter with a load-carrying capacity of 280 KN is to be used.
The ground floor level will be at a height of 2 meters above the existing site level to avoid floodwater enter the building.
M25 grade of concrete with Fe500 for longitudinal reinforcement and Fe 415 for shear reinforcement is to be used.
The following design IS codes will be required for reference:
Students will have to produce the following:
A)
Aim:
To carryout modelling, analysis, design, and preparation of construction drawings of a G+3 RCC building situated in Guwahati Assam.
Procedure:
1)Initially open the Etabs software and then provide the grid and story information.
2)Add material property requrie to model are below.
3)After loading the section properties we need add load casses.that requrie are mentioned below.
Now, we need to assign these loads.
For live load take the value as 2kN/m² with reference to IS875:part 2.
Take Brickwall load as 3.5kN/m
Floor finishes as 1.5kN/m²
And also define the mass source and response spectrum function.
And define the load combination.
And assign the diaghpharm
After completion of design we need to export the base reactions and load conditions in f2k formate for footing design using safe software.
Now we have to import the f2k file into safe software to import the all reactions and loads.
Define the materials of concrete and rebar.
define the slab proprties as per the design
now we need toprovide pile using the materail properties.
RESULT;
As per the given mesurements and requirements modelling and designing using the safe software has been done.
