To model columns for industrial steel structure using TSD

Aim:

1. Create column properties for different types of pedestal members and model in the grids created as per the assignment 1
2. Create column properties for steel columns and model columns in the grid created as per assignment 1.
3. Create beam properties and model primary and secondary beams on the ground floor

PROCEDURE:-

• Open the TEKLA file which was saved with grid in last challenge.
• Define the different levels such as base level,ground level,intermediate level and roof level appropriately according to the plan.

·       Create column properties ( Size, height, grade of steel) using properties window. The properties to be created using manage properties for each type of column.

·       Select plan view to model the columns.

·       Define and review the properties of the column

·       Insert columns on grids or construction lines as per the planned general arrangement.

·       Model primary and secondary beam using storey level on plan

·       Manage properties of beams and assign the properties to each of beams

• After compeleting the design of beams and columns, go to model and select validate option and check the design.

RESULT:-

 The columns and beams are successfully created to the Grids.
