Project 2

1.

Calculation of Dead Load:

elf Weight - 1.15

UDL on Rafter (Main Frame)

  • Weight of Roof Sheeting - 5kg/m^2
  • Weight of sag rods and braces - 5Kg/m^2
  • Collateral load - 10kg/m^2
  • Total Load - 20kg/m^2 - 0.2KN/m^2

UDL on Rafter:

Spacing - 6m

UDL - 6*0.2 = 1.2 KN/m

UDL on Rafter From Purline

Section - 150zs60x2

Weight of the section - 4.60kg/m

9x 6 x 4.60/15 = 16.56 kg/m = 0.166KN/m

Dead load on rafter (roof)

UDL on Main Frame = UDL on Rafter + UDL on Rafter From Purline

= 1.2 + 0.166 = 1.366KN/m

UDL on gable frame

1.366/2 = 0.683 KN/m

Column :

Load on Column (MainFrame)

  • Load From sag rod and Bracing = 10kg/m^2
  • 0.1 x 6 = 0.6KN/m
  • Weight of grit = 61.60Kg/m

= 6 x 6 x 61.60/6 = 369.6 Kg/m = 3.696 KN/m

Total Load = 0.6+ 3.696 = 4.296

Load on column (gable column) = 4.296/2 = 2.148

Load Acting on the wind Column

  • Load From sheet and sag Rod = 0.1 x 6 = 0.6KN/m

Weight of the column is = 52.4 Kg/m

= 6 x 6 x 52.4/6 = 314.4Kg/m = 3.144KN/m

Total Load = 0.6 + 3.144 = 3.74KN/m

Dead Load Eave Strut & Gutter (Point Load)

Weight of Eave Strut = CS270 x 75 x 20 x 3.15 = 10.7kg/m

Weight Eave gutter = (0.25+0.25+0.25) x 0.001 x 7850 = 5.89Kg/m

Load due to eave strut and gutter = 10.7 + 5.89 = 16.59 Kg/m

= 16.59 x 6= 99.54kg = 0.995KN ( main Column)

= 0.995/2 = 0.497 KN

All other loads are added as Excel....
