Torque-speed characteristics:

The torque-speed characteristics of a 3-phase motor is defined as the curve plotted between torque developed and rotational speed of the motor. It gives the information about variation in the motor torque with the change in its speed.

The characteristic is obtained from the model for the rotor and stator properties.

The torque starts to decrease as the speed of the motor increase. The torque is at higher position when the starting current of the motor is at the higher value.

 Alnico:

Alnico magnets are permanent magnets that are primarily made up of a combination of aluminium, nickel and cobalt but can also include copper, iron and titanium. Alnico magnets are available in either isotropic or anisotropic versions.

This magnet matierial is used for the rotor and the stator manufacturing and the same model is modeeled and simulated.

The stator and rotor was designed with the material alnico and the result are obtained.

The torque graph is showed above. The values tend to remain almost same with that of the previous material for the srtart of the simulation when the simulation time is increased the looses in the motor will be increased for the alnico material.Henceit has a lower efficiency
