DESCRIPTION

Draft Analysis---

Opened the CPU Fan Bazel model and went to the Draft Analysis command then check the draft analysis of this model.

Scale---

After that, I went to scale command to scale this model (this material is ABS then the Shrinkage value of (0.6%).

Parting lines---

Then, went off the parting line command to create a parting line, Before creating parting lines check draft analysis, using the parting line command to create parting lines.

Shut-off surfaces----

After that, we created parting lines but the core and cavity are not separated completely then, I went to shut off the surface command and fill all holes using the command, then the core and cavity are separated successfully.

Parting surface (using Ruled, lofted surface, move copy & knit command)---

After that, I used the Ruled Surface and Lofted Surface commands to create the parting surface of this model.

After that, I went to the move copy command to create a copy of the parting surface and lofted surface.
After that, 1 went to knit command to join the parting surface, lofted surface and core surface again went to knit command to join the copy parting surface, lofted surface and cavity surface then, Then I went to the surface body and changed the name.

Core And Cavity Block --------

Then I save the file and go to ASSEMblY, then I fix all three planes to the CPU FAN model to do the sprue alignment.

After that, I went to go insert component command to add two new parts. I changed the name to cavity steel and core steel.

For core steel (block) - I edit core_steel, then select the top plane to make a sketch Then, I went to the extruded command to expand on both sides and done. again select the top plane and make a sketch and go to split command to cut the body and I went offset command to offset 0mm in the core surface, then I went cut the surface command to cut the extra core part.

For cavity steel (block) - I edit cavity_steel, then select the top plane to make a sketch Then, I went to the extruded command to expand on both sides and done. again select the top plane and make a sketch and go to split command to cut the body and I went offset command to offset 0mm in the cavity surface, then I went cut the surface command to cut the extra cavity part.

Relief---

After creating the core & cavity block then (I went to move the face command to provide relief in the core block of all faces).

Ejector pin, Ejector plat & Ejector backplate---

I am going to make the ejector pin, ejector plate for the mold.
I edit the core block and select the face and I draw a sketch then go to extruded cut command to remove the materials on both sides in the core block,

then again select the same sketch and go to extruded boss/base command to and extruded.
Again I provide the relief of the ejector pin so select the top face of the core block and draw a sketch and go to extruded cut command to cut.

I am going to make the ejector pinhead, then I draw the sketch and go to extruded boss/base command to extrude 3mm.

then, I am going to make the ejector plate, I draw a sketch and go to the extruded boss/base command to extrude the 10 mm.
then I provide the relief of the ejector pin head then I draw the sketch and go to extruded cut command to remove the materials.

Again, I am going to make an ejector backplate then I draw the sketch and go to the extruded boss/base command to extrude 15mm.

Sprue, Runner, and Gate---

first, I start making the sprue for the mold I edit the cavity block and select the top face and draw a sketch and go to the extruded cut command to cut 12mm and cut again I cut to select the face and make a sketch and go to extruded cut command cut with the 3.5-degree draft.

After that, I edit the core block, create a sprue puller at the end of the sprue so I create a sketch and go to extruded cut command to cut inside of the core.

Now I am going to make a runner for the mold,

Then I'm going to make a trapezoidal runner so I edit the core block and select the top face and draw a sketch and go to the extruded boss/base command, in the thin feature I specify the midplane option And I increase the width by 4.75mm and the height by 4 mm. Then I provide a draft of 10 degrees of all sides. Again I provide a 2mm fillet of the bottom edge & vertical edges of the runner.

After that, I am going to make the gate on the runner body.

I select the top face of the runner and draw a sketch and go to extruded boss/base command to extrude up to 0.5mm. Then I use the draft command to provide 40 degrees.

some extra material has been created then I select the back face of the gate and draw a sketch and go to extruded cut command to remove the extra material. then I provide the fillet of the gate.

After that, I go to the combine command to subtract the inlet channel from the core block. here is the some face a not properly cut so, that deletes the previous operation (combine) and select the face of the runner and draw the sketch and go to extrude cut command to remove the extra material. then, I go to the combine command to subtract the inlet channel from the core block. then the inlet channel is completed.

Air vents---

Now, I am going to make Air vents for the mold.

I select the top face of the insert block, draw a sketch and go to extruded command to extrude both directions. Then, I go to split command to trim the bottom part of the sketch, then hide the core part and select the bottom face and go to move body command to increase 1mm, then go to fillet command to provide a 1 mm fillet Again the make same procedure and create another sketch.

After that, I go to combine commands to add both of the parts which I created, I go to the mirror command to mirror the air vents of the core block.

Then I go to combine commands to subtract the air vents in the Inset block.

Cooling channel---

I am going to make the cooling channel for the mold. Then I go to the hole wizard command to create a cooling channel in the core block & cavity block.

Then, I insert 3 new sub-Assembly and I moved the Mainl part to the mold part sub-assembly, I moved the cavity part to the top product sub-assembly and I moved the core, Inserts, slider, ejector pin, ejector plate, ejector backplate part to the bottom product sub-assembly.

Mold Design CPU Fan Bezel Model Completed.

Thanks.
