Project 2

Aim

Route the Wiring harness on Given car body and Prepare flatten view drawing in CATIA V5. Application of all Packaging rules, Industry best practices studied in this course shall be demonstrated in design. Apply Protection coverings as required.

we can download the required connectors and support parts from te.com for routing process for backdoor of a car

in this project for a backdoor assy for a car door we can look a couple of sensors for the use of brake lights, rear parking sensor, and other sensors are commanly used in the vehicle so taken the assemption for the project

first we have to define the connector and support part

the connector

C-776438

This CAD data was obtained from te.com. To electrically define a connector, we must first define the geometrical parameters such as the bundle connection point and connector connection point in the Electrical Part Design workbench for the downloaded connector.

and support part we use fir_tree clip

We need to mount the fir_tree clip on the Backdoor to provide support as well as act as a guiding channel, so we must first define it electrically with geometrical parameters, entry, and exit points on both the left and right sides of the clips

after that we have to mount the both connector and fir_tree clip to the backdoor_assy the given placements are considered for the routing

1) brake lights

2)Rear parking sensor

3)rear wiper and door locking sensor

after that we have to add the protective covering for the parts with Cot_tubes to all bundle segments

Flattening

after bundle segment routed we can open a new product file for flatening and activate the flattening parameters

after that we can create a drawing file for the bundle_assy

we can choose the axis for drawing using frontview command and after that we cangive the dtails from the sheet backround comand
