Project 1 _Creating an Architectural plan for the provided plot size and develop relevant basic structural drawings
Aim: To draw
1. Architectural drawing of a residential building:
> Plan of a residential building.
> Elevation of a residential building.
> Section of a residential building.
2. Structural drawing:
> Column plan layout of the building.
> Footing plan layout of the building.
> Beam plan layout of the building.
Commands used: xline, Chamfer, Text, M-leader, Line , Offset , Rectangle, Trim , Extend , Block , Block edit , Dimension , Layer , Hatch, etc.
Procedure:
1. First set the units in decimel in 0 precision and Set the limits and zoom all.Set the dimension to mm units for Architectural drawing of residential building.
2. Drawing the plot, and giving setback.Given plot size as 18.3m x 6m. Mark the direction N, S, E, W. By rectangle, draw the plot giving dimensions as 6000mm and 18300 mm.
3. Next give setback from the plot, 4.3m and 3m for the sides.The proposed building should come inside the setback drawn.
4. Drawing wallOffset 304 mm from the boundary after the setback is taken for the wall thickness.
5. As the orientation is given as East, main door should face East.For hall, give 3992 mm offset horizontally from the West side and size of the room will be 3.992m x 4 m.
6. As per Vaastu Shastra, North-East is favourable for living room and the entrance should face North or East.
7. Same the make the kitchen as per the vastu shastra facing the east. Take 2500 mm offset and make two lines and offset 304mm for the wall thickness. trim off the unecessary lines.
8. Now offset 2254mm from the downside kitchen wall and make the toilet for the guests. Offset the wall thickness of 304mm.
9.Now make the bedroom in the sothwest region for bed. Take offset 4538mm for the bedroom. Take 2254 mm fore the bedroom toilet for the owner.
10. The size of bedroom is 4538 x 5492 mm.Create opening of 1000 mm by offset and trim commands.
11. Drawing of Puja room From the Entrance offset 1500 mm and from kitchen offset 1000 mm and Size of the puja room is 1.5m x1.0m as per North-East should be good for puja room according to Vaastu Shastra.
12. Now for the garrage for cars make offset of 4746 mm from the top side wall. Make the wall thickness of 304mm. Make the Second floor plan just as same as First Floor (GF). Make Kitchen as Study Room and make pooja room as toilet for children. Also make a balcony by offseting 2500mm.
13. With multiline text, draw the text box, text height as 100mm and style as Areal.
14. Place the doors and windows in the respective places.
15. Elevation part the Projecting lines to draw the elevation.Project the wall lines to the top.
16. Draw a horizontal line.Offset 300 mnm for the plinth level.Offset 3657 mm for the Lintel level.Offset 150 mm for Slab level .Offset 1000 mm for the parapet wall .
17. Trim off the extension lines and make shutters and panels for doors and windows.For architectural purpose, create some hatches.
18. Project the lines from the elevation for the height and from the section line of plan for the horizontal members. Drawing windows, doors, ventillatioin and balcony in section.
19. Using hatch hatch the walls with the bricks hatch and foundation with the concrete hatch.
20. Project the lines from the elevation for the height and from the section line of plan for the horizontal members.
21. Drawing windows, doors and stairs in section.Draw the window and door which we see after cutting the section line.
22. Using hatch hatch the walls with the bricks hatch and foundation with the concrete hatch.
Place the windows and foundations in the respective layers and give coloumn.
Structural drawings:
1. Column layout : Column of size 604 mm x 302 mm is considered.Columns are placed in all corners of the wall and intersection of walls wherever required.
2. Now draw the centre line for column from the annotate tab -centre line and mark the grid line as 1,2 in the y direction and A, B, C, D, E, F in the x direction.
3. Footing Layout: Rectangular footing of different size is provided.Create a rectangle with below dimension, place the centre of rectangle with the centre of column.

> 1396 X 770 mm
