Project 1 : CFD Meshing for Tesla Cyber Truck
Aim: For the given model, check and solve all geometrical errors and Assign appropriate PIDs. Perform meshing with the suitable Target length and element Quality criteria.
Theory: To analyse drag and lift we creating the water tight surface mesh on the tesla car
Procedure to creating the water tight surface mesh on the tesla car:
- Firstly for the given model we removing the half part of the car body, The half part of body car part is shown in the image2
- Then for giving good resolution to the car body in meshing the option called perimeter there we giving smaller length
- After given the perimeter length then we clearing the sigle con and triple con
- Then after the clearing single and triple con we removing unnessessary surface, Which in inside car body surface is unwanted
- Then we doing geometric checking and we clearing the error, The error is generally penetration issue , niddle point etc.,
- After clearing the error we assigning the pids for tyre, glass, car body. This assigned pid is shown in image3
- Then lastly for different pids we giving mesh with different target length, And also when One mesh after we freezing the mesh, This meshed to the car is shown in image4
- After the meshing by enabling hidden option which there in bottom toolbar we checking the off element and we clearing off element
- After doing perfect mesh then by copying the half part of car we mirroring half part of the car, Final mesh car is shown in image5
- Lastly we creating the wind tunnel and doing the surface mesh this final image is shown in image6
result :

image2: After deleting half part of the car

image3: pid assigned for car components

image4: mesh of the car

Conclusion: so finally water tight mesh completed successfully so we can further analyse ie., drag and lift analyse
