Project 1 : CFD Meshing for Tesla Cyber Truck
OBJECTIVE:
To check the Tesla cybertruck model and solve the geometrical errors so that meshing can be performed for the model in the respective PIDs and to create a wind tunnel for the truck for further simulation and analysis.
PROCEDURE:
To mesh the given model step wise procedures are followed. Every model is checked for geometrical error conditions and solved then allowed to do 2 dimensional surface mesh followed by 3 dimensional mesh
- TOPOLOGY
- SURFACE MESH
- VOLUMETRIC MESH
TOPOLOGY:
Solving the model for clearing the geometrical errors is called Topology. Here first the model is checked for any unfilled gaps and filled, side by side any condition for surface overlap and triplecon existence are checked if so present they are prepared to have double con only avoiding single and triple cons.
SURFACE MESH:
Meshing the model with 2 dimensional structures lead to Surface meshing. Here the model is meshed with different target lengths for each PIDs and then combined models of PIDs results in a single whole model of surface mesh.
Volumetric mesh is not done as per the system compatible efficiency.
The tesla cybertruck is meshed with 2 dimensional tria elements.
SCREENSHOTS
Given model
- Doing topo

- examining the model for single and triple cons

- Examining volumes inside the model

- examining gaps inside

- Filled gaps

- Clearing inner volumetric entities of the truck

- Examining headlight sections

- spotting a triple con

- applying PID

- Doing mesh in Tire PID area and reducing off elements to zero

- Bumper PID

- glass PID

- Body PID alone remaining for meshing

Fully meshed tesla truck with no off elements

- Measuring length of the vehicle to assign a mid point to take a reference for fixing point to develop a Wind Tunnel

Wind tunnel witha tesla cyber truck

- meshing the wind tunnel

CONCLUSION
Finally the given Tesla cybertruck have meshed with zero off elements and Wind Tunnel is developed for further simulation purpose
