Student projectsChallengeProject 1KK B Sen18 Jan 2023 Project 1 objective to Create a stateflow or Simulink model for the following flowchart. The input to the model would be the power demand. The output should be: Fuel cell power Battery power FC Operating state (running, standby) Create plot of these outputs against time. project discussion in the below show table we are giving the datas required for the powerdemand and supply section. to model the fuel chart we need to assue the minimum and maximum values of power demand of fuel cell. here the minimum and maximum values of power demand of fuel cell are considered as 100 w ( minimum ) and 1000w ( maximum ) power demand supplied by 0 to 100 battery 101 to 1000 fuel cell 100 to 1200 battery Now we willl build a signal for the power demand in matlab, using signal builder ranging values for power demand between 0 to 1200 The Signal Builder block in Simulink is a graphical user interface (GUI) tool that allows you to create and edit signal waveforms. the above shown figure is the waveform created using signal builder power demand ranging from 0 to 1200 w time values 0 to 100 s model inside subsystem parameters min fc range here we selest lower limit as 0 and upper linit as 100 , this is the range where fuel cell is not working .. in the rsnge of 0 to 100 battery is the supplier max fc range here we selest lower limit as 1000 and upper linit as 1200 , this is the range where fuel cell is not working .. in the range of 1000 to 1200 battery is the supplier here we selest lower limit as 101 and upper linit as 1000 , this is the range where batteryis not working .. in the range of 1000 to 120 fuel cell is working working here we have 3 operating regions at a time only one region works. case 1 ( battery working ) if the power demand is in between the range of 0 to 100 , battery is the supplier and fuel cell will be stand by from the model we can see that if the demand meets with the limits if the interval test , first switch works. case 2( fucel cell works ) if the power demand is in between the range of 101 to 1000 , fuel cell is the supplier and battery will be stand by from the model we can see that if the demand meets with the limits if the interval test , second switch works case 3 ( battery working ) if the power demand is in between the range of 1001 to 1200 , battery is the supplier and fuel cell will be stand by from the model we can see that if the demand meets with the limits if the interval test , third switch works. obtaining result as sum of min fc and max fc is battery operating range results in above figure 3 plot is shown Fuel cell power Battery power FC Operating state (running, standby) conclusion The model can be used to analyze the system's performance under different operating conditions and to evaluate the system's ability to meet the power demand. To create the model, various blocks representing the system components and can be connected in a logical manner. The input to the model can be set using the signal builder block and the output can be analyzed using various scopes and analysis tools. The model can be used to optimize the design of the system and to ensure that it meets the power demand reliably and efficiently. The conclusion from the model will depend on the specific scenario and requirements it is designed for and the simulation results that have been obtained, but in general it can be concluded that the model can be used as a powerful tool for designing, testing and optimizing a system that meets a power demand.
