Motor Blower Assembly : Week 4 Challenge

Upper Housing

  • The profile of the upper housings is sketched out at the sketcher's bench.
  • The pad command in the part workbench was used to model the part at an 8 mm scale.
  • In the sketcher workbench, I have drafted a plan for the blower exhaust system.
  • Profile curvature was set at a radius of 10 mm.
  • There's a new bodily part in here. The solid models of the sketches have been made in the part workbench, and the padding has been set to the correct size.
  • Using logical operations, a new body was pieced together from the existing Part body.
  • Upper House semicircle made in Sketcher's drawing programme with a radius of 4.88 millimetres.
  • With the pad command, the drawing was extruded to the desired length, and this component was left untrimmed from the part body using a boolean operation.
  • To facilitate fastening with lower-profile hardware, we drilled 4mm-diameter holes.
  • Flange with the necessary pocket-definition-holes for mating with lower-case letters has been designed.

Lower Housing

  • I've crafted a half-circle here that's the same size as the ones on the top floors.
  • Partially built a workbench from scratch using the extruded sketch.
  • A ground cover of lower housing is seeded below
  • foundation laid for lower housing
  • I've drilled holes in this lower housing as well to facilitate fastener mating, just like I did in the higher housing.

Blower

  • This are the procedures I used to make blower.
  • Parts of the sketch have been made in the sketcher's workbench and then extruded in the part's workbench.
  • Circular 60° angles were used in the design and patterning of the fan's fins.

Shaft

  • The precautions taken when joining the engine and the blower.
  • The necessary sketch was made in the sketcher's workbench and then extruded in the part workbench to the necessary length.

Cover

  • Covering the blower fan assembly, it was constructed with a specific set of design factors in mind.
  • I started by drawing half of the sketch, then revolving it in Part Workbench.
  • Fins were designed with cooling in mind, so I sketched a 4-millimeter-long line, extruded it into a one-of-a-kind body, and then didn't bother trimming off any of it.
  • A fastening element has been constructed all the way around the cover's periphery.

Motor

  • The blower and the motor were built in parallel, thanks to the motor's design.
  • All the sketches, as I mentioned, were done at the sketcher's workbench, and the parts were made at the part's workbench.
  • Fins are built atop the motor and extended out to their full length.
  • The motor base was designed keeping in mind standard motor dimensions.
  • Unwanted parts of the motor's body, as well as the base and fins, have been removed.
