TO
UNDERBODY COATING
- What is the underbody coating?
Under body coating is the coating process where some adhesive material layer coated on some unseen places of the car-under body like, wheel base, body platform to protect from road dust, stone scratches and corrosion.
- Types of underbody coating: -
- Rubberized underbody coating.
- Wax based underbody coating.
- Asphalt based automotive under coating.
- Polyurethane based underbody coating.
- Rubberized underbody coating:
This is the most common underbody coating for the car. It is used to protect a car underbody from the stone scratches, corrosion and it is reduced the road noise.
- Wax based underbody coating:
Wax based undercoating is the cost effective and it is applied on whole unseen parts of the underbody. It is resisting a dampness of the car.
- Asphalt based underbody coating:
This is most suitable for truck and heavy passenger vehicles. It contains rubber-based material to reduce the noise of the vehicles.
- Polyurethane based underbody coating:
This coating is used on splits and fractures on the underbody of the car. It is also providing a good protection from the corrosion. It is also a good bond with metal.
- Advantages of the under body coating:
- Protect from the corrosion and moisture of the nature.
- Protect from the stone and chip scratches.
- Reduce the noise and vibrations.
- Protect some expensive parts of the underbody like a engine and silencer.
- Easy to maintenance of the car because of the undercoating car has been clean and it reduce a maintenance time and charges.
- Protect from the off-road dust and muddy road.
