Final Project: Electric Rickshaw modelling
Aim:
To create a matlab model of an electric rickshaw.
objectives:
Rear wheels driven by PM brushed type motor
Assume efficiency points of motor controller and motor
Make an excel sheet of all input and assumed data
Results: For any three standard driving cycles show energy consumption, temperature rise of motor and controller for 100 km constant speed driving at 45 kmph.
theory:
Electric rickshaws (also known as electric tuk-tuk or e-rickshaws or toto or e-tricycles have been becoming more popular in some cities since 2008 as an alternative to auto rickshaws and pulled rickshaws because of their low fuel cost, and less human effort compared to pulled rickshaws. They are being widely accepted as an alternative to petrol/diesel/CNG auto rickshaws. They are three-wheelers powered by an electric motor ranging from 650 to 1400 Watts.

Ape Calessino is Piaggio’s new electric three wheeler
The Ape Calessino is a beast of a machine that needs 422cc diesel engine to power it up and get it going. Amazingly, the Italian scooter manufacturer has unveiled the all electric version of the Ape Calessino three wheeler! The new Ape is powered by a lithium ion battery pack and an electric motor that reportedly allows for a range of up to 75 kilometers. A full recharge will only take less than four hours. The battery pack is also claimed to stay good for 800 recharge cycles. Well saving the planet does come at a price because this is slated to be priced at around Euros 19,900 which is well over US$ 30,000 and that is excluding the Value Added Tax.

ftp75 is used to for vehicle parameters, speed, current output where as wot is doesn't work in this conditon.
the parameters can be changed by
changing the vehicle mass, frontal area, drag ,tire.
improving the battery for better mileage range.
motors like bldc which can be used for better range, power and torque.
