Fender wheel arch design for European,Japanese and American Standards
Wheel Arch Analysis
The aim of this analysis is to ensure that the fender design satisfies the standards set to protect the pedestrians and engine bay.
According to the European Standards, 5 points in particular positions at the outer surface of the wheel should be at a minimum distance of 10mm from the inner surface of the fender.
The below table represents the position of the points, the clearance condition and if those points satisfy the condition.

The below figures show the sketch representing the lines AA, BB, CC, DD and EE and the distance between the outermost surface of wheel and outer edge of fender.

Points AA BB DD and EE are less than 10mm from the fender surface. Hence, it is recommended that the0 styling corresponding to these points, be modified to achieve a 10mm clearance.

The above image shows that the wheel arch of the fender part is to be modified such that the wheels are inside the fender at all 5 points
Thus, the given fender styling does not comply with the European Standards for wheel arch. Hence the styling has to be modified I order to use the design in European Markets
Japanese Standard compatibility:
The Japanese Standard requires the distance between the wheel and fender to be a minimum of 5mm at 3 points as shown in the above figures. Since the clearance at point 3 is 4.1mm. The part has failed to satisfy Japanese Wheel Arch Standards.
American Standard compatibility:

The American Standard requires the fender to be at a minimum distance of 10mm from the outer surface of the wheel at points at every 10 degrees from the -20degrees to 180degrees of the wheel center.
More than 6 values are less than 10mm, hence the part has failed to satisfy the American Standard for wheel arch
CONCLUSION:
Thus, the part cannot be applied to any country unless the wheel arch part of the styling is modified accordingly.
