Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge

The fender is the closure component that covers the engine, also avoids throwing dust, sand from the wheel.

There are standards defined across countries on the design of wheel arc, these changes from region to region based on the road conditions, safety norms on pedestrians.

Considering European standards:

The wheel arc is divided into 5 sections as shown in the image.

At all sections(SA, SB, SC, SD & SE), the value of L should be greater than 10mm to meet the European standard on wheel arc.

Comparing European standard with the model given:

On comparing, Only the section SB is clearing with the standard, SA is failing by a small margin (0.06mm), and the rest all the sections were well out of their limits.

Hence, this wheel arc design will not clear the European standard for fender design.
