Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
Wheel Arch gap at required points
- According to European standard Wheel Arch gap at required points should be 10mm or above.
- First create the plane on the wheel outer most surface.
- Sketch the line horizontal and vertical line which is passing through the centre of the wheel.
- Then draw the line 30 to the left and 50 to the right of the vertical line.
- Project the outer edge of the fender and offset the horizontal line to upside about 150mm
- Create the point which intersect the both curve and offset line.
- Create the line from the centre of the wheel that pass through intersection point on the curve.
- Create the bisecting line between 50 angle line and 150 distance line.
- Create the intersection point of every line on the fender outer edge
- Project these points on the fender body using project curve feature.
- And measure the distance between the point.
