Fender Design Challenge
AIM:-
The main object of this project is to design the BIW(Body in white) of front fender using the fender skin data and master section as the into data by using NX CAD.
Introduction
Fender is the american english term for the part of an automobile, motorcycle or other vehicle body that frames a wheel well. Its Primary purpose is to prevent sand, rocks, mud, liquids, and other roots free from being thrown into the air by the rotating tap. Enter or typically digit and can be damaged by contact with the road surface.
Primary purpose is to prevent sand, rocks, mud, liquids, and other roots free from being thrown into the air by the rotating tap. Enter or typically digit and can be damaged by contact with the road surface.

sticky materials, such as Mud, may adhere to the smooth outer tire surface, while smooth loose objects, such as stone, can be become temporarily embedded in the tread grooves as the tire rules over the ground. These materials can be injected from the surface of the tire at high velocity as the tyre imports kinetic energy to the attached objects . for a vehicle you moving forward the top of the tire is rotating upwards and forward and then throw objects into the air at other vehicles on pedestrians in front of the vehicle. When is the front outer side member of a car, which covers the way inside. It has so many small features with ups and downs .

The importance of car fender:
1. Defenders R and integrate sheet of metal covering the wheels well of your car
2. Wenders are designed in a manner to provide a resistance against wind and other roadside debris's.
3. When you travel on rough terrains tour vehicle my ticket minor scratches and dents which look no better. Frequent road bumps can cause your car paint to chip of which needs a paint job done.
4. The car vendor or located on the either side of the front and rear wheels. The front Kar fenders begin where the front door hinges run and end just before the bumper. The rear car fenders begin with where the back doors close and terminate before the bumpers.
Types of fenders:-
There are two types of fenders.
1. Full bumper type
2. half bumper type
Full bumper type:-
This type of whimper is not commonly used because this design is more scrap producing one during manufacturing. The blank of steel or aluminium used to produce this type of has more prestigious this tab is not economically good to manufacture.

Half Bumper type:-
This types of fenders is most commonly used. The cons of full bumper type is satisfied in this design and a blank area of distance by producing the part is drastically reduced by scrap management.
purposes of fenders:-
Cleanliness:- Protect the car, occupants and passengers Buy from items, water, but, no, ice, thrown off the tired as you drive.
safety:- Protects pedestrian from the wheel, example it's better to be it by a literally moving fender then a rolling tire, keeps lose, trimming items from being wrapped up in a rolling wheel
Aerodynamics:- Smooth the car profile so you didn't get a lot of drag Of the uncovered wheels. Some fender are enclosed on the side for this.
General Apperance:- Looks better with fender, gives a finished look, looks more streamlined.
Front fender design:-
The given master section to create the drip area and for the still Mount, bumper Mt and a pillar Mt create your own design by according to the engineering standard.
1. Drip area
2. Still mount
3. Bumper mount
4. A pillar mount
5. Splash/Baffle mount
Design of drip mount area:
Master section to follow and create drip design

skin data

it is most important mountain unit of offender. It is connected with the engine compartment and there is a lot of design constraints to be allowed and followed while designing the drip area. It should have sufficient clearance from the front and rear end of the fender to accommodate the cool mountain region and the headlamp housing unit respectively.
From the master section we have optimise value for draft, drawing and assembly point to view. Such as distance from the engine compartment is 10mm, height of the fender etc.
Design criteria:-
1. embosses are provided to increase the strength.
2. Smooth curves are designed for easy manufacturing of panels.
3. Rips or provided to DIP area Mount give structural support and extra strength.
4. Maintain extra 10mm from the flat surface for the fastner holes.
5. All fillets should maintain 2 or 3 mm radius in most regions.
6. Thickness of fender is 0.75 mm

conclusion:-
Thus, all mounting areas for the fender designed from skin data and master section is done by following all design rules.
