Fender

A fender is the part of a car that covers the wheel and extends up to the body of the car. The main reason of fender is to proivde support , reduce noise and vibartion , its primary purpose to prevent sand mud , rock and other road spray thrown into engine by tire in running condition and prevent injuries to the pedestrian.

Depending on the model of the car, fenders are made of metal, plastic, fiberglass, etc. They are designed to protect the sides of the car from damage due to road debris etc .

type of fender

there are two type of fender are following -

full bumper type
half bumper type

now after development we use half bumper type because it reduce uses of metal since less metal equal to less weight there for more performance and if the side area of car is get damaged we dont need to change whole side since half bumper is smaller than full size it can be replaced and cost less as per full bumper type .

mounting of fender -

fender is connected on sideway of car but it got 5 major point where it get strongly tightened or fixed to car body they are following

Bumper
Drip
A Pillar
Sill
Cowl

according the master section we created design of fender and all there mounting point .

Note : i was unble to place darts at desired place because of softwere error which was acknowledged by engineer in one on one session itself .
