Drafting of various geometries using Chamfer, Fillet tool in AutoCad
Aim:
To sketch the given diagrams.
Procedure:
- Draw a line of dimension 3.0 using the line command. (say ab)
- Offset the line two times with a distance of 1.00 and 2.50. respectively.
- With Circle command, and diameter selected, draw a circle of diameter, 0.80 from the midpoint of the offset line at 2.50 and another circle of diameter 1.00 from the midpoint of offset line at 1.
- Delete the offset line using trim tool.
- Using the line command, from the b point, specify the distance as 2.12 and press tab and specify the angle 45 degrees, and draw the line. ( say bc)
- Using the line command, from the c point, specify the distance as 2.83 and press tab and specify the angle 135 degrees, and draw the line. ( say cd)
- Now connect the point a and d using a Line.
- Mark the dimensions using dimension command.

- Select all and using the right corners as the reference, Mirror drae the whole object using MI command, and do not erase the source.
- Mark the dimensions.

- Draw a rectancgle of dimension dimension 1.5 (length) and 1.5 (height). Using Offset command with a offset distance 0.5, offset the bottom, left and right edge. Using trim command, erase the unwanted lines.
- Draw a rectangle of dimension 2 (length) and 1.5 (height). Using Chamfer command, select distance, specify first distance as 1 and second one as 1.5, select the left and top edge to chamfer. Using offset command with a distance 0.5, offset the right and bottom edge. Using trim command, erase the unwanted lines.

- Mark the dimensions using dimension command.

- Draw a rectangle of demsion 210 ( length ) and 100 ( height ).
- Explode it.
- Using offset command, Offset the left and right edge two times at distance 20 and 90. Offset the top edge two times at distance 10 and 40.
- Trim the unwanted lines.
- Erase the bottom edge.
- From the left bottom corner Draw a line of length 70 and draw 2 circles with a diameter 70 and 50 from the mid point of the line.
- Offset the top bottom at a distance downwards at a distance 70 and 75.
- From the right bottom corner draw a line of length 50. Draw two circles of diameter 50 and 30 from the midpoint of the line.
- Trm the unwanted lines.
- Using fillet ommand and with radius 15, fillet the left and right top corner.
- Fillet the line which connects the left circle at a distance 70, with radius 20.
- Fillet the line which connects the right circle at a distance 70, with radius 6.
- Trim the extra lines.
- Mark the dimensions.

- Draw a pair of concentric circle of diameter 5 and 4.
- Draw another pair of concentric circle of diameter 1.8 and 0.9 at a distance 4.275 to the left from the left of mid point of the big circle.

- Mirror the sketch to the right.
- Mark the dimensions.

- Draw a line of length 32'-6".
- Draw two circles of radius 8' and 9' from the left and right end of the line respectively.
