Objevtive:
Use the provided styling surface to come up with a back door desing ,use appropriate design methodologies and provide the necessary reinforcement and embosses

Backdoor introduction
An automobile back door or tailgate is the panel that covers the boot(or truck) of an automobile.it enables access to the main luggauge compartment. A hinges allows the boot lie to be raised ,while devicess such as spring or gas cylinder hold it up in the open position the Backdoor is an assmble of ,many parts such as inner panel,outer panel upper,outer panel lower and reinforcement .Inner panel is attached to the outer panel using mastic sealent.
Total no.parts in backdoor are:
- Backdoor outer panel(upper)
- Backdoor outer panel(lower)
- Backdoor inner panel
- Hinge reinforcement
- Gas stay reinforcement
- Latch and sticker reinforcement
- wiper motor reinforcement

DRAFT ANALYSIS:
Draft analysis is done to show that the part can be easily drawn out from the mould
so the above desing has been analyses using the tool on NX CAD as the allowance.
HEMMING AND RELIEF:
Hemming is the process of joining two surface using set of rollers to bend the parent over the sub part.The brown parent part is the outer panel and white sub part is the inner panel.
Relief is done to decrese the sress concentration of metal along the corners and also to decrease the clumping of metal along the corners this is done by triming the corner by a minimum radius of the rollers to pass along smoothly.
CONCLUSION:
Thus the backdoor was designed from the given styling surface and draft analysis is also done on the inner panel to check the manufacturing condition.In this challenge i learned to desing the inner panel,the outerpanel ,wiper motor reinforcement,gas stay reinforcement,hinge reinforcement,latch and sticker reinforcement and its position.
