Creation of geometries by Coordinate system methods using AutoCad

Aim: The geometries from P1 to P2 using all the coordinates system

Introduction: There are two coordinate systems in AutoCAD. World Coordinate System (WCS) and User Coordinate System (UCS) which define the angle of the XY plane you are working in. The WCS should always be used to reference geometry to ensure everything aligns to the center of a file in a real-world location. The UCS can be used to orientate the screen to a site.

Procedure: For Absolute coordinate system choose the line tool (Ensure that the dynamic input button is not chosen)

LINE specify first point: 2,1

x=2 and y =1

  • specify next point 8,1
  • specify next point 8,2
  • specify next point 3,2
  • specify next point 3,6
  • specify next point 8,6
  • specify next point 8,7
  • specify next point 2,7
  • close

For Relative rectangle coordinates system choose the line tool (Ensure that the dynamic input button is not chosen)

LINE specify first point: 2,1

  • specify next point @6,0
  • specify next point @0,1
  • specify next point @-5,0
  • specify next point @0,4
  • specify next point @5,0
  • specify next point @0,1
  • specify next point @-6,0
  • close

For Relative polar coordinates system choose the line tool (Ensure that the dynamic input button is not chosen)

LINE specify first point: 2,1

  • specify next point @6<90
  • specify next point @6<0
  • specify next point @1<270
  • specify next point @5<180
  • specify next point @4<270
  • specify next point @5<0
  • specify next point @@1<270
  • close

Result: draw figure in screenshot copy file.

From P-3 to P-10 the diagram is designed by the Relative rectangle coordinates.

And the diagram like profile wood, Queen post truss, Mono pitch, howe truss, Flat truss are designed by the Relative polar coordinates.

procedure: its similar to P-1 & P-2

result: draw figure in screenshot copy file.
