Creation of Column Schedule and Drawing Template using AutoCad

AIM: To create a column schedule using necessary commands.

Introduction: structural columns are identified in a column schedule by intersecting the grid lines and by their top and bottom constrained and offsets.

Page setup: open new page

Select architectural.

Precision as 0-01/256” and apply

Press ok enter.

Procedure: using the line, offset and ortho command draw table

Using trim option erase unnecessary lines.

Using the text command adding the text.

Using the line circle and fillet command draw the columns.

2. AIM: To create a column schedule using auto cad.

Introduction: A tabulation, usually on a blue print using specification, which list all windows required on a construction job indicating the sizes, number of lights, type location, and special requirements.

Page setup: open new page

Select architectural.

Precision as 0-01/256” and apply

Press ok enter.

PROCEDURE: Using table command draw table with 5 columns and 6 rows with title bar.

Give 5 columns and 6 rows and column width3” and height 1.

Using the ST command and open the settings and give font as roman and height 9”

3. To create a window schedule in AutoCAD.

To create the template Line, Trim, Text, Multitext, commands are used.

Page setup:

Open new page in AutoCAD.

Select engineering,

Select precession as 0’-0”,

Page limit as 150’ x 100’.

Press ok.

Procedure:

Using line command draw a rectangle of size 150’ x100 ‘.

Using the ortho command make the necessary template.

Using trim command delete the unnecessary lines.

Using multi text command type the following in the first column with and front romans text height 9”.

4. A schedule of drawings is an itemised list of drawings required for a building project. It can be as a part of an invitation to tender or may be prepared as part of design management plan.

To create this template table and text commands are used.

Page set up:

Open new page,

Select engineering,

Select precession as 0’-0”,

Apply okay

Procedure:

Open the command line and use the table command.

No of columns=3 and rows =26 columns width 3” and adjust length as per needed.

Using the text command by selecting the need box and enter the information.

5. Create a template using line, text, hatch, trim, offset, ortho and dimension commands.

Page set up:

Open new page,

Select engineering,

Select precession as 0’-0”,

Apply okay

Procedure:

Draw two lines of 45’ long at distance from each other 6’.

Using the break line command.

Draw the horizontal lines.

Using ortho 3” and 9” draw the horizontal lines

Using hatch option command draw necessary lines.
