f) If you want to increase the scale or modify any properties just click on the area where

you have provided hatching . Once you click you will get Hatch creation tool in

Ribbon

g) We can modify properties from ribbon panel .

Similarly ,

xvii) Repeat the command - Select stye - Soild fill - Select colour - Grey and apply it as

shown in fig .

Step 3) Give the dimensions and Annotations -

iv) Command DIMCONTINUE to get the dimensions

v) Command Dtext and select Arial font and text height 60 mm

vi) Give Annotations .

B) Above Counter Plan -

Step 1)

i) Copy the Below counter plan

ii) Trim the unwanted lines .

iii) Follow the same procedure for Above counter plan also .

Results - The Kitchen Layout as shown in the figure is drawn .

2)

Aim - To create the Elevations of the plan created in challenge 7 .

Introduction - i) In a given fig Elevation of Challenge 7 is given .

ii) Take the reference of week 7 plan for dimensions and other things

iii) Following are the commands are used -

a) Construction line -XL

b) Line

c) Rectangle

d) Offset

e) Trim

f) Fillet

g) Dimcontinue and DText

h) Hatch

Procedure -

i) Open a new drawing (Cntrl + N) with metric units .

ii) Select units to Decimal and Precision (0) with Milimeters .

iii) Lim-max and limits are also set .

Step by Step Procedure -

Step 1)

i) To draw the elevations take the reference of week 7 challenge

ii) Take the diimensions from week 7 challenge

iii) Give the command - Line

iv) Specify the base line of a distance of 16388 mm in positive x directions .

v) Take a offset of 150mm from base line /GL

vi) Again offset of 2450 mm from GL to ground floor slab

vii) Again offset of 2850 from ground floor slab to 1st floor slab

viii) Again offset of 2850 mm from 1st floor to 2nd floor

ix) Again offset of 2850 mm from 2nd floor to 3rd floor

x) And take the offset of 1000 mm from 3rd floor to top .

xi) Draw the window at the 1st floor ( As W3 ) Sizes are already mentioned in Challenge 7 .

xii) Command Array and Select Rectangular array to draw the same window at 2nd floor and 3rd floor .

xiii) No of rows as 3 and No of Columns are 2

xiv) Spacing between columns are 1600mm

xv) Spacing between rows are 1600 mm

xvi) Press Enter and will get same sizes of windows .

Step 2)

i) Arrange the elements which we have created earlier in elevations .

ii) Copy the same elements or use Command Array to provide the windows at 1st 2nd and 3rd floor

iii) Draw the line - Command LN

iv) Draw the horizontal line of 30mm , draw vertical line 10mm , draw inclined line of @30mm<10

do hatching

e) Select the boundary retention - Retain boundaries - object type - Region

f) If you want to increase the scale or modify any properties just click on the area where

you have provided hatching . Once you click you will get Hatch creation tool in

Ribbon

g) We can modify properties from ribbon panel .

Results - The Elevation view of Challenge 7 is created .
