Creating Conceptual mass in REVIT and Creation of Sinusoidal curve and a Parametric stadium using Dynamo

1)

AIM

To create using Dynamo create a set of sinusoidal points and create a curve and create a surface out of the curve.

INTRODUCTION

The dynamo is created using revit software and the procedure are explained in detail.

PROCEDURE

Open the revit software

select the dynamo in the manage ribbon bar

select in the search bar in dynamo software.

type integer slider in the search bar.

copy and paste three integer slider in the space.

type the range of point attached to the integer slider.

next type the point by coordinates in the XYZ axis .

set the code block to coordinate the points in the axis.

next type MATH.SIN.

next select the product button in the search bar.

As seen in the points are placed in the as shown in the fig below.

type the nurbs in the curve bar and associate with it.

next create the list items which ever is needed.

and finally type the surface by loft option in the search bar.

see the result in the revit software the points are placed in the revit software.

RESULT: The following points are created and the surface are created using sinusoidal points surface out of curve is compelted.

2)

AIM

To Create a conceptual layout of floor plan in dynamo . Using the tools available in dynamo link the lines to appropriate model elements in Revit by choosing the wall types and wall parameters. Make use of the sliders to slide through the height of the wall and length of the wall.

INTRODUCTION

This layout of floor plan is created in revit software using dynamo.

PROCEDURE

Open the revit software using the dynamo.

select manage ribbon bar in the dynamo.

create a integer slider of 2 with a value of 150 on both.

select the point by coordinate with a copy of 4.

Type the line by start and endpoint

connect to the list of intems to be created.

type wall types, levels and one integer slider to view the height of the wall.

and select the wall.by curve and height.

select the floor by outline

and finally the floor type coonect to the wall

as shown in the fig below.

RESULT : The following walls and floors are created using dynamo and completed.

3)

AIM

To create an array of model elements in Revit. Use dynamo to vary the properties of model elements by using the slider or code block.

INTRODUCTION

This one is created using revit software using dynamo and the details are explained.

PROCEDURE

Open the revit software.

select the dynamo in the manage ribbon bar

select in the search bar in dynamo software.

input the search by typing search by model element

set the rotation angle in the search bar.

and set the integers are set in the dynamo

the following images shows how the dynamo works.

type the model elements in the search bar.

RESULT: The following array of a model elements is created and completed.

4)

AIM

To Create a conceptual mass in Revit and develop a parametric column by dividing the surfaces and apply the concepts similar to used in parametric walkway modelling. Use triangular bent or square shaped panels to add finish to the parametric column.

INTRODUCTION

This conceptual mass is created using revit software using conceptual mass.

PROCEDURE

open the revit software.

create a new conceptual mass

create a spline in the modify button.

set a workplane in the spline.

create a circumference of the workflow.

create a solid form in the workplane of the set

as shown in the fig below.

select the pattern as traingular bent in the model of the work flow of the plane.

RESULT: The following conceptual mass is created uisng revit is completed.

5)

AIM

To create the Dynamo to work on developing a Parametric Stadium. List your parameters and use the visual programming approach to complete the modelling, You can use the concepts discussed in parametric high rise tower in class for reference.

INTRODUCTION

The parametric stadium is created using revit software using dynamo and the steps are explained in detail.

PROCEDURE

Open the revit software.

open the dynamo in the manage option.

Type the integer slider copy 2 integer slider and rename as no of levels and floor to floor height.

type the code block and type as 0..#levels..floorsheight

again type the integer slider to connect to the point by coordinate.

set the lentgh ,width, bottom rotation and top rotation of the mass.

and connect to the coordinate by system by origin.

from coordinate sysytem to rectangale by width and length.

and connect rectangale by width and length to code block.

the four sides of the floor are craeated as shown in fig below.

and the number of floors is selcted as 12.

and floor height is from floor to floor is 12.

the mass is created in dynamo and can be visible in revit software.

again i have changed the width and leght to 40 as shown in code block.

the changes happens again in the revit software as shown in the fig below.

RESULT: The following floors are created using dynamo is created and completed.
