Creating Bar Bending schedule, Different Door types, and Creation of standard drawing templates using AutoCad

Aim

To create a title block as per the size of the sheet. To save the created title as a block and to give names as custom1_titleblock and costum2_titleblock respectively.

Procedure

• Go to AutoCAD and use unit commend to fix the units.
• Use Engineering and precision as 0’0” in units.
• Then use line commends and draw a line in x axis and y axis.
• Then start sketching by using line commend.
• Use rectangle to draw a rectangle and line commend to draw a line.
• Then use offset to draw multiple lines at specific distance.
• Then use trim commend to erase excess lines.
• Then use circle commend to draw a circle.
• And line commend to draw lines at required places.
• Then provide m text to write the text. Change the size for better appearance.
• Once the title block is created then use block comment to open a block dialogue box.
• Then give name of the block and then select the entire block.
• Then select the reference point.
• Then save, the whole title is saved as block.
• Similarly create the give title block and the use block option to create the title as a block.
• Then if we required the block again then use insert option to place the saved block

Result

Thus the title block as per the size of the sheet is created and title block has been saved as a block and named as custom1_titleblock and costum2_titleblock respectively.

Aim

To create a door type for a warehouse as shown and to create a block of this door type.

Procedure

• Go to AutoCAD and use unit commend to fix the units.
• Use Decimal and precision as 0.0 in units.
• Then use line commends and draw a line in x axis and y axis.
• Then start sketching by using line commend.
• Use rectangle to draw a rectangle and line commend to draw a line.
• Then use offset to draw multiple lines at specific distance.
• Then use trim commend to erase excess lines.
• Then use circle commend to draw a circle.
• And line commend to draw lines at required places.
• Then provide m text to write the text. Change the size for better appearance.
• Once the door is created then use block comment to open a block definition dialogue box.
• Then give name of the block and then select the entire block.
• Then select the reference point.
• Then save, the whole Door is saved as block.
• Similarly create the give title block and the use block option to create the title as a block.
• Then if we required the block again then use insert option to place the saved block.

Thus the doors for warehouse has been created and are saved as block.

Aim

To create each symbol as block with names given in the legend. To save them as blocks and arrange them in the legend.

Procedure

• Go to AutoCAD and use unit commend to fix the units.
• Use Decimal and precision as 0.0 in units.
• Then use line commends and draw a line in x axis and y axis.
• Then start sketching by using line commend.
• Use rectangle to draw a rectangle and line commend to draw a line.
• Then use offset to draw multiple lines at specific distance.
• Then use trim commend to erase excess lines.
• Then use circle commend to draw a circle.
• And line commend to draw lines at required places.
• Then provide m text to write the text. Change the size for better appearance.
• Once all the symbols which are shown are created then use block comment to open a block definition dialogue box.
• Then give name of the block and then select the symbol.
• Then select the reference point.
• Then give name to the symbol and then save, the symbol is saved as block.
• Similarly repeat the block procedure to save the symbols as blocks.

Thus the given symbols are created and saved as blocks by names given in the legend.

Then they are aligned in the legend as shown.

Aim

To create the door type for residential building and to save the doors as blocks by providing names to them.

Procedure

• Go to AutoCAD and use unit commend to fix the units.
• Use Decimal and precision as 0.0 in units.
• Then use line commends and draw a line in x axis and y axis.
• Then start sketching by using line commend.
• Use rectangle to draw a rectangle and line commend to draw a line.
• Then use offset to draw multiple lines at specific distance.
• Then use trim commend to erase excess lines.
• Then use circle commend to draw a circle.
• And line commend to draw lines at required places.
• Then provide m text to write the text. Change the size for better appearance.
• Once the door is created then use block comment to open a block definition dialogue box.
• Then give name of the block and then select the entire block.
• Then select the reference point.
• Then save, the whole Door is saved as block.
• Similarly repeat the same procedure for all the remaining doors
• Save the doors as block and give specific name to the block.

Aim

To create each shape as block as shown in the figure. Save the block as insert in the table as shown.

Procedure

• Go to AutoCAD and use unit commend to fix the units.
• Use Decimal and precision as 0.0 in units.
• Then use line commends and draw a line in x axis and y axis.
• Then start sketching by using line commend.
• Use rectangle to draw a rectangle and line commend to draw a line.
• Then use offset to draw multiple lines at specific distance.
• Then use trim commend to erase excess lines.
• Then use circle commend to draw a circle.
• And line commend to draw lines at required places.
• Then provide m text to write the text. Change the size for better appearance.
• Once all the shapes which are shown are created then use block comment to open a block definition dialogue box.
• Then give name of the block and then select the shape.
• Then select the reference point.
• Then give name to the shape and then save, the shape is saved as block.
• Similarly repeat the block procedure to save the shapes as blocks.

Thus each shape is saved as block and inserted in the table with preferred name.
