Creating Architectural and Structural model with 3D rendering using REVIT
1) Select the type of structure you want to build from one of the three below:
a. Multi-Unit Residential Apartment
b. Office Buildings
c. School
ANS-Multi unit Residential apartment is my choice for structure to build.
2) Assume reasonable assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modeling. Based on assumptions and type of structure selected identify the modeling requirements from NBC
ANS- As multi unit resindential apartment is my choice for structure the requirements from NBC are:
1-It should situated in centre os city as it is a resindential building people needs should be met.
2-The project is located near to highway.
3-The road width of this project is 60 feet.
4-The general height, area and safety measure are followed by NBC 2005.
5-The height of project is 42'.
6-The height of the building should not exceed 1.5 times of the road.
7-We must consider all structural integrity, seimic design and sanitary facilities.
8-We must make sure it is respecting all aspects of energy conservation, fire resistance and ventilations.
3) Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
b. Columns
c. Beams Connected to Columns
d. Roof Framing/ Truss
e. Floor / Decks
f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs
ANS-

TOOLS REQUIRED:
-Grid
-levels
-insert
-view
-foundation
-floor
-boundary
-columns
-beams
-synchronize
PROCEDURE:
1-Open structural model that we created previously.
2-From architectural toolbar choose levels and grid sfrom datum and then place them accordingly.
3-Choose insert toolbar, select load families and insert foundation as per requirement to foundtion level.
4-Open structural toolbar, from there we can place the required columns and place them in plan accordingly.
5-Add floor and walls as required per dimensions from architectural toolbar.
Then synchronize to the central model.
RESULTS: Required architectural model is created and finished accordingly.
4) Using the architectural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Wall Layout with appropriate material and finishing
b. Exterior façade with fancy finish
c. Interior partition walls to size rooms
d. Components to add details to a room ( Desk, Chair, Lighting, Plumbing fixtures)
e. Add components such as stairs Elevators
f. Have at-least one side of the building with curtain walls and glass panels
g. Include interior and exterior lighting fixtures
h. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants) to add details to the model

5) Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
a. Floor Plans with Annotations
b. Elevations
c. Sections
ANS-
AIM: To add drawing into
a. Floor Plans with Annotations
b. Elevations
c. Sections
TOOLS USED:
-View sheet
-Floor Plan
-Elevation
-Section
PROCEDURE:
1-Open architectural model.
2-Click on view there select sheet
3-Drag the floor plans to the sheet.
4-Edit the required changes in plan.
5-Drag the elevation view from left side to the sheets.
6-Then draw section by choosing section option .
7- After drawing section then again open sheet and name it accordingly and drag these section views to the sheet.
RESULT: The required Elevation, Section and plan views are added to the sheets as per requirement and named accordingly.
6) Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images to the drawing sheets
a. Rendering from interior rooms
b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
c. Rendering through structural framing
AIM: TO
a. Rendering from interior rooms
b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
c. Rendering through structural framing
PROCEDURE:
1-Select view toolbar, then choose 3D view and later camera options.
2-place the camera in room and click render.
3-Edit the parameters and click on render.
4-Save project accordingly.
5-Therefore now we have to render the interior and structural images.
7) Print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model
ANS-
AIM:To print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model.
PROCEDURE:
1-We have to choose print option on top tool bar or click on ctrl p
2-click on view or sheet option so that you can preview sheet to be printed
3-Then after we can change any parameters if we require and then click ok to get print.
