1) Select the type of structure you want to build from one of the three below:
a. Multi-Unit Residential Apartment
b. Office Buildings
c. School

=I will choose Multi-Residensial Apartment.

2) Assume reasonable assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modeling. Based on assumptions and type of structure selected identify the modeling requirements from NBC

  • Assumed location details are multi-store building in karnataka.
  • My building construction in the plain area(geographic)
  • As per the NBC, the height limit will be given in the NBC part V-1.
  • Road width in front of the my appartment id 30'(9m).
  • Structure can be constructed in residential area.
  • Length & breadth of the room are onsidered as per NBC.
  • The fire & safty measures are followed as per NBC.

3) Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
b. Columns
c. Beams Connected to Columns
d. Roof Framing/ Truss
e. Floor / Decks
f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs

AIM:

To include the following components based on the type of structure selected using the structural model.

Introduction:

  • Beams & columns are two important types of structural elements that play a key role in creating a safe load path to transfer the weight & forces on astructure to the foundations & into the ground.
  • Beams & columns could be build using the same shapes & materials but each serves a different function & is design differently.
  • A foundation is the lowest part of the building structure.
  • It is the engineering field of study devoted to the design of those structures which support other structures, most typically buildings bridges or transportation infrastructure.
  • The civil structural & geotechnical engineering disciplines & has distinct focus on soil-structure interaction.

Procedure:

  • First we open the structural templete & create the horizontal & vertical gride as shown below.

  • we add the columns with the size of 12"X18" as shown below.

  • Elevation views.

  • First floor column are created.

  • To create the beams in the ground floor & first floor.

  • create the column & beam in all the level.

  • Create the foundation slab using the toolbar.

  • Create the structural flool using the tool.

  • create the shaft opening.
  • synchronize the created structural model.

4) Using the architectural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Wall Layout with appropriate material and finishing
b. Exterior façade with fancy finish
c. Interior partition walls to size rooms
d. Components to add details to a room ( Desk, Chair, Lighting, Plumbing fixtures)
e. Add components such as stairs Elevators
f. Have at-least one side of the building with curtain walls and glass panels
g. Include interior and exterior lighting fixtures
h. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants) to add details to the model

AIM:

To include the given components based on the type of structure selected using the architectural model.

Introduction:

  • Partition walls are a significant component of a building design without partition walls a building's plan cannot be decorative or structured.
  • Lighting fixtures, come in a wide variety of styles for various functions.
  • The most important functions are as a holder for the light source to provide directed light & to avoid visuual glare.
  • Some are very pain functional, while some are piece of art in themselves.
  • Nearly any material can be used so long as it can tolerate theexcess heat & is in keeping with safety codes .

Procedure:

  • Open the architectural central model file & create the wall using wall tools.

  • Create the stair case & the Elevator using the load family.

  • Insert the components like door, windows, kitchen, lightings, plants, bed room, etc.

  • Use the room tool & tag the room & area of the romm shown in below.

  • create the Toposurface of the ground level & create the plain surface.

  • Ground floor will be the parking of vehicales.

  • First floor plan, second floor plan & thired floor plan are the same.
  • All the components are added in the all the floors.

  • First floor ceiling plan & the lightings are added in the all the floor ceilings.

  • Fourth floor level.

  • Roof level & roof will be created.

  • Vehical parking of the ground level.

  • Place the exterior plants & the lighting as shown below.

  • floor plan with annotate.
  • The area will be 46'X62'.

  • 3d interior camera views & all the component are placed.
  • Living rooom as shown below.

  • Kichen & dining table are shown below.

  • Bed room & Master bed room shown in below.

  • store room & decorated hall.

  • Stair case & elevator.

  • Curtain wall & glass panels as shown below.

5) Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
a. Floor Plans with Annotations
b. Elevations
c. Sections

AIM:

To provide the set of drawings in an architectural & structural model to list given details with categories & appropriate sheet templates include.

Introduction:

  • Floor plans are the most critical element of your house plans drawn to scale & shown from above floor plans illustrate how rooms spaces, & physical features work in relation to each other within the home.
  • They are the key documents that show how peolpe will move through the space & intract with their home floor plans, show the extent to which a space eill work for its intended purpose.
  • All elevation is a view of a building seen from one side, that representation of one view .This is the most common view used to describe the external appearence of a building.
  • Each elevation is labelled in relation to the compass direction it faces e.g looking towared the north you would be seeing the southern elevation of the building.
  • Selection views, reveal hidden details in a mechancal drawing these views assume that a cutting plane of the object reprasented by the drawing displaying the appropriate section of the interior.

Procedure:

a) floor plan & annotations

  • Go to the view tab & select the sheet tool.

Result:

  • We add the ground floor in the sheet.

  • add the first floor, second floor, thired floor are the same .

  • add the fourth floor on the sheet.

b) Elevation

  • East view of the elevation shown below.

  • North view of the elevation shown below.

  • South view of the elevation shown below.

  • West view of the elevation shown below.

6) Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images to the drawing sheets
a. Rendering from interior rooms
b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
c. Rendering through structural framing

AIM:

To render the images of #d model produced & to include the rendered images to the drawing sheets using the rendering settings.

Introduction:

  • Render the view to create a photorealistic image of the 3D model.
  • After preparing the 3D view & using the rendering dialog to select desired settings, click render to render the image.
  • Revit begins the rendering process, rendering the entire image progressively Revit displays a progress dialog, which allows information about the rendering process.

Procedure:

a) Rendering from interior in the sheets

  • First we add the rendering view of the interior in the sheet.
  • Click on the view tab & select the render option.

  • Then select the region & setting & exposure.
  • Next click on Render option.
  • Add the sheet.

Result:

b)Rendering from out showing topographic features

Result:

c)Rendering through structural framing

Result:

7) Print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model

AIM:

To print the set of drawing sheets created & to submit the drawings from the architectural & structure model.

Introduction:

  • The print tool prints the current window, a visible portion of the currrent window, of selected views & sheets you can send the desired drawings to the printer to PRIV or PLT file or the PDF.

Procedure:

  • First we click on he file option & select the print & modify.
