Creating Architectural and Structural model with 3D rendering using REVIT

1) Select the type of structure you want to build from one of the three below:
a. Multi-Unit Residential Apartment
b. Office Buildings
c. School

Aim:- To learn how to create architectural and structural model with 3D rendering by using revit.

Procedure:- from the above question im selecting the office building to create 3D model.

result:- I chose the office building to create 3D model.

2) Assume reasonable assumptions for geographic and location details for your project modeling. Based on assumptions and type of structure selected identify the modeling requirements from NBC

Aim:- To select geographical and location details for selected building as per NBC.

Procedure:- For an office building in a city these are the specifications according to NBC

a) The open space around the building shall not be less than 4.5m.

b) The type of construction as type 2 construction,the FAR value for the business building shall be taken as 2.9

c) The plot size is taken as 40m X 70m that is 2800sqm and individual floor area is 2000sqm hence FAR obtained is 2.14 which is with in the prescribed limits as per NBC

d) The width of road abutting the building is taken as 9m(30feet)

Result:- These are the specifications for an office building which is in city as per NBC.

3) Using the structural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Foundation – Isolated / Wall/Matt Foundation
b. Columns
c. Beams Connected to Columns
d. Roof Framing/ Truss
e. Floor / Decks
f. Floor Openings for Elevators and Stairs

Aim:- To create the structural model of selected building in REVIT.

Procedure:-

a) Create the structural template and create the structural grids.

b) Select the grids and place the footings,columns,connected beams,slabs,shaft opening.

c) Here i was choose the circular shaft opening.

Result:- Finally i created the structural model of selected model.

4) Using the architectural model, include the following components based on the type of structure selected
a. Wall Layout with appropriate material and finishing
b. Exterior façade with fancy finish
c. Interior partition walls to size rooms
d. Components to add details to a room ( Desk, Chair, Lighting, Plumbing fixtures)
e. Add components such as stairs Elevators
f. Have at-least one side of the building with curtain walls and glass panels
g. Include interior and exterior lighting fixtures
h. Place proper topographic components from outside ( Trees, Parking, Plants) to add details to the model.

Aim:- To create the architectural model by using Revit.

Procedure:-

By selecting out to out wall and then internal walls as per NBC and then create floors doors windows and all required architectural elements by using Load families shown below.

Result:- Finally i created the architectural model as per NBC by using revit software.

7) Print the set of drawing sheets created and submit the drawings from the architecture and structure model

Finally the view would be saved as above.

Result:- Finally i got to know about the convrtig file into pdf by using REVIT.

5) Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
a. Floor Plans with Annotations
b. Elevations
c. Sections

Aim:- To Provide a set of drawings in an architectural and structural model to list the following details with categories and appropriate sheet templates included
Floor Plans with Annotation,Elevations, Sections by using REVIT.

Procedue:- To create sheet of selected size and type go to view tab then go to sheet option and drag the required view to the sheet and set the size to the sheet.by using annotate tab give dimensions to the floor level. some of the views are mentioned below.

result:- By this way we can add the different type of sections to the sheets by using REVIT.

6) Using the Rendering settings, Render images of the 3D model produced and include the rendered images to the drawing sheets
a. Rendering from interior rooms
b. Rendering from out showing topographic features
c. Rendering through structural framing

Aim:- To create rendered images of given views created model by using REVIT.

Procedure:- select suitable view from the created model by slecting 3D camera view and place the camera at suitble location you want and go to view tab and select the render option and then choose the settings as you need.and render it and save the view file at suitable location in your PC.

Result:- Finally i got created rendered views by using REVIT.
