Benchmarking

Mr. Pughazhyendhii is looking for a big car to drive to and from the office and occasionally to his native place which is 500 km away from where he lives with his family which is Bangalore a very crowded city with heavy traffic.

So, keeping in mind his situation and condition, I have selected 4 models which lie in the price range of under 10l on-road (Bangalore price)

Keeping in mind the high traffic condition in Bangalore, it would be easier to drive an automatic variant, since it will give hassle-free driving to Mr. Pughazhyendhii.

These are the models I have chosen for Mr. Pughazhyendhii.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Datson GO+, Honda Amaze, Renault Triber all versions are all automatic transmission versions.

All the 4 vehicles are big which is preferred by Mr. Pughazhyendhi.

Now let us Compare these final 4 choices and select the best one for Mr. Pughazhyendhii.

Comparing the engine and transmission first of the selected variants, we can see that Amaze makes the most power giving 90 bhp and the Renault Triber makes the Least Power with 71 bhp. The Grand i10 nios and Datson go+ are close behind with 99bhp and 90bhp respectively.

If it’s the Amaze that gives out the most power,in the torque department, it is the Grand i10 that shines above the rest giving out 152Nm.

According to ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) data, The Grand i10 provides the most mileage with 21 kmpl and the rest model is approx. same around 18 kmpl.

As Mr. Pughazhyendhii prefers big cars, let us look at the proportions of each vehicle.

We can see that the Amaze and Datson Go+ both have the same length and biggest among the other two and have more passenger space.

Datson Go+ and Amaze both have approx. same minimum turning radius which is compatible in congested places.

The Renault triber has most boot space of 625 liters and Hyundai grand i10 has the least the amaze has Justifiable boot space of 420 liters which is not so less.

Now when it comes to the safety standards, the Hyundai grand i10 losses the points. The Honda amaze and Renault triber are the safest among all. Both have been certified 4 star by NCAP (new car assessment program).

Finally, when it comes to warranty, Honda has given the Amaze with 3 years/unlimited km warranty which is a step above the rest.

Conclusion - Looking back at all the quirks and features of these 4 cars with a detailed comparison, the Amaze seems like the one to buy. It has more features than the rest, it is a fairly big and spacious car, very comfortable, has good safety ratings, and that peppy high i-VTECH engine that will put a grin on your face.
