As given in the problem that Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once in a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him with options so that he will buy a good car for his family?

Based on the requirements of that person we are going to benchmark the different cars by taking 4 parameters. They are :

1.Mileage , 2.Type Of Car , 3.Seating Capacity/Comfort , 4.Engine

We are going to take four cars as choice of selection based on the cost falling into his budget.

i)Hyundai Verna:

Its a sedan class vehicle which is longer i.e., more than 4 metre length. And Hyundai claims the mileage of the vehicle can be 17 to 19 kmpl for petrol variant of the car which is quite comfortable.Along with this it has four doors and large boot space which fits more than wnough for a family. With the seating capcity of 5 people, and the engine is 1.5 L with the torque output of 160 to 240 Nm.

ii)Maruti Suzuki Dzire:

Dzire is one of the most selling cars in India. This car belongs to sub sedan or compact sedan type which is less than 4m in length. And the mileage of this vehicle is simply amaze you with 23 kmpl for petrol variant. Its also a 5 seating capacity vehicle with excellent outer body design that will give you rich feel and the higher variant of the vehicle comes under 10 lakhs. And the engine can give you upto 113 Nm of torque which is enough to drive away.

iii)Mahindra XUV300:

It was a SUV type of vehicle but naturally its a comapct SUV.And Mahindra claims the mileage of the vehicle can be 20 kmpl for petrol variant of the car which is good.Along with this it has four doors and large boot space which fits for a family. With the seating capcity of 5 people, and the engine is 1.5 L with the torque output of 300Nm which is quite high in this range.

Pughazhyendhii he can buy Mahindra XUV300 because it has a good mileage of 20 kmpl which is useful and money saving as he will travel around 500+ km every month to madurai along with the daily commute his work. And also it is big looking car as he wish to have and also suitable for his 5 members family to travel comfortably by carrying the luggage in the large boot space and the it also falls into his budget of 10 lakhs coming with all the benefits he need ans as he likes.
