Benchmarking is the comparison of the similar product service and processes. In the industries to compare the products based on the price, specifications, quality and cost.

(c)Internal Benchmarking:
It compares metrics (performance benchmarking) and practice benchmarking for different units, product lines, departments, programs. Geographies within the organization.
(d)External /benchmarking:
It compares metrics and practices of one organization to one or many others.
