Aim:-

To expain about Benchmarking and finding a good car for Mr.D.S.Pughazhyendhii by comparing the cars.

Benchmarking:-

Benchmarking is the process of comparing or evaluating the competitors product or service. This the first step of most of the startup companies. After benchmarking we can conclude what we are going to manufature and in which way how our product or service is going to be better than our competitors and we can make our product more friendly, serviceability and in other terms how we can attract customers by increaing certain trems that are not in our competitors product or service. This is called BENCHMARKING.

Types of Benchmarking:-

Benchmarking can be internal (comparing performance between different groups or teams within an organization) or external (comparing performance with companies in a specific industry or across industries). Within these broader categories.

There are three specific types of benchmarking:

1) Process benchmarking,

2) Performance benchmarking,

3) Strategic benchmarking.

1) Process benchmarking:-

Process benchmarking is the process of evaluating our process of manufacturing with our competitors in terms of time, cost and quality of the product.

2) Performance benchmarking:-

Performance benchmarking is the process of comparing the performance of our product's or service's with the product or service of our competitor.

3) Strategic benchmarking:-

Strategic benchmarking is the process of observing how the competitors or the field is surviving in the market.

Steps in Benchmarking:-

Benchmarking is a simple, but detailed, five-step process:

1. Choose a product, service, or internal department to benchmark.

2. Determine which best-in-class companies you should benchmark against, which organizations you’ll compare your business to.

3. Gather information on their internal performance, or metrics.

4. Compare the data from both organizations to identify gaps in your company’s performance.

5. Adopt the processes and policies in place within the best-in-class performers. Benchmarking will point out what changes will make the most difference, but it’s up to you to actually put them in place.
