what is Bench-Marking:
Benchmarking involves a structured comparison between similar products, services or processes on some dimensions of performance. For example it can be used to compare the availability and delivery of features in a product and in this form often provides the basis of consumer tests and reviews. These look at products and services and provide recommendations based on which is best or some form of ranking amongst competitors. It is particularly useful when comparing not only performance but also practice – in other words what do the different organizations do to enable that performance to be delivered? And applied in this way it is a powerful tool in process innovation sin e studying how the ‘best’ achieve their performance can provide powerful clues for changing the way processes operate.
Benchmark with presently available cars in the market for the given case:
Based on Mr. D.S.Pughazhyendhii requirements:
For daily usage and for long drive diesel cars are better with fuel economy.And also He is fond of big cars. So,I mention the following cars based on his requirements.
And also in upcomming years HYBRID ELECTRIC CARS are also available.
I have research the current cars and according to the Mr. D.S.Pughazhyendhii requirements I have found six cars which is match his requirements. and I have make the comparision report in excel sheet with the images including so he can get the proper idea regarding the all varient. Here,The On road price of the all varients are shown approxly accourding to current market price rate.

Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii having family of 5 persons , so I have see the all varients which fullfill this requirement. Here In the above mentioned all varients have capacity of 5 persons.
Second thing is that Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii wants to drive the car to office and also he visits his native place once in month which is 500kms and also lives in crowded area so I think he need the cars with comfort,safety and having good boot space.
Also he think about big cars so i have also take in my mind about that.
According to above comparision of six vehicle Mahindra XUV 300 and Hyundai I20 have less boot space and also less safty given compare with the other all. Also Kia Sonet have less safety features according to his price.
Now, From other three cars Tata Nexon,Honda Amaze,Tata Altroz. Honda Amaze have good boot space but saftey features is less and also price is little bjt high and avarage is good. Tata Nexon have good boot capacity and the safety features is also very good but the price is high.
So, According to me the TATA ALTROZ is good car which fullfill the most of the all requirements of the Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii. Also the price is in comfort zone.
The Good factors of TATA Altroz is :

- Rated the best in terms of safety in its segment.
- Best steering wheel connectivity with the driver.
- Good boot space and also the milage is good.
