Task: Selection of Car with budget 8-10lakhs on road, for family of five members, for long distance travel and inside city travel.
Criteria of selection of car
1. Budget Rs.8-10lakhs on road.
2. 5members seating capicity and once in a month interstate travel and also for office use.
Market Availability
Under first point of cars price between 8-10lakhs we have more than 50 vehicles from different make and they are sedan, hatchback.
These Cars come with petrol, diesal and CNG fuelled, also latest electric vehicle.
All these cars have BS6 standards. (power stering, power window, driver air bags, other pollution norms)
Now we start selection criteria with cars price 8-10lakhs as below.
1. Since a family of five Sedan is prefered as five seating capacity along with trunck space for luggage for long travel.
A hatch back no trunck space. A Sedan with sufficient trunck space
2. As the car is used to commute to office and for inter state travel Diesel vehicle can be prefered which is fuel efficient than petrol.
Electric vehicle at present is not considered for long distance interstate dirve as no electrical vehicle can cover 500kms.

The best in fuel economy is Tata Tiago diesel at Rs.3.51/km
On road price is Rs.9.0lakhs which is less than other cars.
Tank capacity and engine capacity remains same.
Honda Amaze has better engine capacity but here we donot require that.
