Benchmarking

BENCHMARKING:

Benchmarking is a process of comparing the technicalities, processes, and services of our product with similar products in the market. This comparison provides insights into the major selling point, setbacks, and other strong areas which improve the competitiveness of the developed product.

The objective of benchmarking is to use the data gathered in your benchmarking process to identify areas where improvements can be made by:

  • Determining how and where other companies are achieving higher performance levels than your company has been able to achieve.
  • Comparing the competition’s processes and strategies against your own.
  • Use the information you gather from your analyses and comparisons to implement changes that will improve your company’s performance, products, and services.

Key Findings:

The cars listed are Compact SUV with diesel variants that offers decent mileage in City conditions.

Analyze:

The other cars under the segment are not considered as it doesn't have a diesel variant. Provided list of 4 cars is great under its unique characteristics with some small variations in horsepower and boot space. The aesthetic look of all four cars is good with sporty looks and the presence of alloyed wheels adds a more lively look to the wheels. The lead time for the delivery is short for the variants provided and can be delivered within a month.

The model variants considered were under 10 lakhs which limits a lot of additional features from the premium segment but the basic requirements of the automobile were fulfilled in all the models.

Conclusion:

Considering the usage of Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii who will travel often to Madurai, though all four variants have the capability of delivering comfort Tata Nexon has an edge closer to more safety as it has an NCAP rating of 5 stars and has a good after-sales commitment to the customers. The interior spacing of the car is great and provides more comfort to all people unmindful of age.
