Tooling axis creation:
First, the pulling direction is determined with proper analysis, and then by using the intersection option we create the faces which have shrinking issues. Then we create intersection lines with the points in the draft. By using the bisecting line option in the line option we create line with the two other lines which provides the pulling axis.
Conclusion:
The draft analysis is checked for both the solid modal and the Class A surface.
1. The Class A surface is checked for the possibility to manufacture with respect to the pull direction with a draft angle of 3 deg.
The pulling direction is updated to the created axis in the Z direction. The results are plotted and the surface turns green which mentions draft provided is sufficient.
2. The Solid plastic component undergoes the same draft analysis with the modal built with drafts in the required direction. The exterior surfaces had drafts outwards and the holes has drafts inwards to make it the proper way to pull the component effectively out from the cavity. The results show the acceptance of the component from the tool end with the required troubling faces marking green. The results are shown above.
