What is Bench marking?

Benchmarking is defined as the process of measuring products, services, and processes against those of organizations known to be leaders in one or more aspects of their operations. Benchmarking provides necessary insights to help you understand how your organization compares with similar organizations, even if they are in a different business or have a different group of customers.

Benchmarking has been classified into two distinct categories: technical and competitive.

Technical benchmarking is performed by design staff to determine the capabilities of products or services, especially in comparison to the products or services of leading competitors.

Competitive benchmarking compares how well (or poorly) an organization is doing with respect to the leading competition, especially with respect to critically important attributes, functions, or values associated with the organization’s products or services.

Now we would be doing the competitive bench marking to compare the features of different cars in order to arrive at our final selection

ANALYZE:

On analyzing the various features and comparing the specifications

On comparing all the features, Firstly Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii along with his family goes for a 500 Km ride every month with the elderly parents , wife and child.Since it is a regularly planed trip. It would be great to have both the sun roof and moon roof which would make the ride even more enjoyable.It is not an essential need but just the added on feature which is desirable.

The safety would be the first and foremost essential need,Hyundai i20 offers the best features among the competing cars, which is then followed by the Tata Altroz.

In terms of the mileage Tata Altroz is the winner closely backed by Hyundai 120
