Benchmarking

A. Benchmarking

Benchmarking means comparison; comparison with competitors in the market in terms of features,

facilities & jwells in the product what they have & what should i give to make potential market!.

There are different types of customer in the market, they ask for different features to comapnies or

companies itself add-on new technologies and characteristics to make them feel happy and comfortable.

Now from here the race of different level of benchmarking begins. one who want make his/her potential

market, let's say a new 4-wheeler tyre manufacturer want to enhance his market & product quality status

the initial step he should take is to do analysis of product, which is already available in the market and trying

to make his/her product better in terms of cost,quality,service,accuracy,comfortability... etc.as compare to the

competitor.

Benchmarking happens at different level, it's not only about comparison with competitors. It could also be done

between same process in same factory or in different factories or even between different sectors using

the same process.

Benchmarking is process through which we could enhance the quality of process, product or services.Like in 2nd

lecture of vehicle dvelopment process it was told that how underbody coat is one of the feature what companies

provide to resist corrosion and different companies provide different thickness of coat so if you are a new car

manufacturer & want your brand to popular in market then you should try to increase thickness of coat as per

overall budget so that you could assure your customer that yes! I gave better Undercoat to my car as compare

to other brand in the market, so in terms of Underbody coat you will be better than other existing brands.

Similarly, There are lot more features which could be compared to for better reach.

2. As distance is very long like 500kms+500kms= 1000kms, so there must be Entertainment & communication features in the car so that they would not get bored.
