1. Benchmarking the best cars between 8-10 lakhs for Mr.D.S Pughazhyendhii
on the basis some market research i have finalised four options of cars for the Customer on the basis of following features .
a. Price
b. Engine capacity
c.Transmision
d. Seating capacity
e. Safety Rating
f.Mileage
Now introducing first car which is " Mahindra Bolero Neo "
If we talk about Mahindra Bolero Neo , Price is Rs 9.3 lakhs , Engine capacity is 1493 cc, transmision is only mannual , it is a 7 Seater without any safety Rating ( as it has not been tested by NCAP ) , it has a mileage of 17 kmpl.
Now introducing Second car which is "Toyota Urban Cruiser "
If we talk about Toyota Urban Cruiser , Price is Rs 9 lakhs , Engine capacity is 1462 cc, transmision is only mannual and automatic , it is a 5 Seater with safety Rating 4 Star (Global NCAP ) , it has a mileage of 17 to 18 kmpl
Now introducing Third car which is " Kia Cerens "
If we talk about Kia cerens , Price is Rs 9.5 lakhs , Engine capacity is 1497 cc, transmision is only mannual , it is a 7 Seater without any safety Rating(Global NCAP ) , it has a mileage of 15.7 kmpl
Now introducing Fourth car which is " Maruti suzuki Ertiga "
If we talk about Maruti suzuki Ertiga , Price is Rs 8.35 lakhs , Engine capacity is 1462 cc, transmision is mannual and Automatic , it is a 7 Seater with safety Rating 3 Star (Global NCAP ) , it has a mileage of 20 to 26 kmpl
Result Extraction as per bench marking :
1.Engine capacity of each car is nearly same
2.Each car is 7 seater except toyota urban cruiser
3.only two cars are there with Gloabal NCAP Safety rating ( ertiga - 3 star & kia cerens 4 star )
4.Ertiga has the Highest mileage

If we look upon the Result extraction then Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be the Best option for the Customer Mr . Pughazhyendhii .
2. Benchmarking :
Benchmarking is the technical word of comparison . Benchmarking comes inder the process Of " Predesign and developement " of vehicle developement process . This technique is used by various OEMs. It involves marketing research of the Automobile sector and our competitors , so that we can remove negative features of the car and implement some new features and reinforcements . Various OEMs have various stages of benchmarking , which involves level 1 ....level N depending upon the Methodolgy of the OEMs. Next level benchmarking is the Detailed study of the Initial Benchmarking done and Extracting the Result out of it to preapre the Concepts .In a project management benchmarking can also support the selection , planning and delivery of projects.
