Assignment 1-2D Meshing Challenge

Aim:

Create 2D meshing for the given components.

Procedure:

1)2D meshing means, extraction of midsurface, creating a mesh on the surface and assigning proper thickness to replicate the original component.

2)To extract the midsurface, the component must be a closed one. So all the free edges and yellow edges are eliminated.

3)The midsurface extration is performed.

4)Midsurface clean up is performed, in which toggling the unwanted feature lines and all constrution lines

5)Defeaturing of pinholes and the curves is performed. Pinholes with diameter less that 3.5mm and curves with minimum length 3.5mm to avoid from failure.

6)Finally 2D-meshing is performed.

7)Check for the quality check criteria and assign the thickness.

Similarly other two components 2D meshing is performed.
