Assignment 1
1. The GT-SUITE has the following modules/ applications as listed below:
- Engine Performance and Acoustics: The NVH characteristics and its acoustics are analyzed and studied to damp the noise and vibration due to the engine and its effect on the performance.
- Exhaust Aftertreatment: It is used to reduce harmful gases in the exhaust which can be affecting the environment and human beings.
- Cooling Systems and thermal management: The cooling system refrigerant and the temperature at various inlet and outlet ports along with the essential spots are monitored and varied accordingly to obtain the optimum and efficient cooling system
- Air Conditioning/waste heat recovery: The air conditioning system and its flow along the various ducts and vents are simulated to obtain precise and accurate results and waste heat is retained from various parts of the vehicle.
- Fuel Injection: The timing and the flame propagation of the furl injection are analyzed for all variants of direct and indirect fuel injection systems.
- Hydraulics and pneumatics: Th amount of pressure head and the flow in different mechanism valves being pumped and stored in a tank for various high pressure or heavy applications by means of layouts is simulated.
- Lubrication circuits: The lubrication path and the viscosity at high friction surface and the smooth operation of the parts is attained by the effective and timely lubrication in an adequate manner.
- Vehicle and HEV fuel economy and performance: The vehicle and HEV type fuel economy is obtained by providing respective input parameters for the HEV and ICE type vehicle and the resultant performance is observed.
- Transmission and shift quality: The torque phase and inertial phase of the shift process or mechanism is analyzed along with NVH optimization too
- Cranktrain and Crankshaft dynamics: The kinematic and dynamic behavior is analyzed long with the power losses at crankshaft and crank train
- Valvetrain kinematics and dynamics: The dynamic behavior of the valve train and its timing with various mechanisms is analyzed.
- Timing and front end drive systems: The front end drive systems are simulated and the output performance is analyzed based on different methods of power transfer to the wheel from the front end system.
- Engine real-time: The real-time engine model is simulated considering all the essential parameters as per real-time boundary conditions.
- Aerospace systems: The aircraft and other aerospace models are also simulated for the turbine or the landing gear and other systems which are essential to be simulated
- (No preloading or application templates): The module is available with no preloading condition and can be very much non-predictive as it is developed from the zero approaches to the final model.
The MODULES found inside the GT SUITE has components, connections, and references which are also as following:
FLOW: The turbine, inlet, outlet runner, and all the fluid-based components along with the connection types are found
MECHANICAL: The tire, transmission, engine, and other essential mechanical components and joints are present
THERMAL: The battery management, engine management, and other essential thermal related components are available
ELECTROMAGNETIC: Electric and magnetic behavior is analyzed by making use of dif related electromechanical components.
CONTROL: The throttle or valve or any component related to the sensor or standard input /output is required is present.
ACOUSTICS: The NVH optimization components and other essential templates and their related features are found
