Assignment 1

Objective: is to repair and clean the geometry, extract the mid surface and then mesh the component under the quality criteria.

1. Open the .hm file in hypermesh one by one to persorm the upcoming tasks

2. Raw distorted geometry

3. Measuring thickness(F4) for future reference

:thickness comes to be 0.91unit

4. Topo mode of the geometry for better visual perspective

5. Duplicte surfaces requiring geometrical repairment

6. Delecting the unwanted duplicate surface using the quick edit menu(F11)

7. Cleaned geometry after repairing

8. Extracting mid surface for the component

Note: One surface at a time was meshed to get bettr mesh flow

Conclusion: In this assignment various operations were performed on three different components in which the components were repaired and geometry were cleaned, then the mid surface were extracted. after the mid surface extraction the mid surface were cleaned and the meshing was done. Further the mesh was checked for quality and for free edge.
