Objective: To create Advanced Sheet Metal Design Metal bracket-II Using NX Cad

Introduction: Sheet metal is widely used across various industries is because of its applications and easy manufacturability.It also helps in maintaining uniform thickness.The added features like bead,gusset,hole and other cutout options make the complex things easy to mainufacture.

The CAD files can be converted to machine language and used for manufacturing the component.

Design methodology / approach (To be explained with the help of Flowcharts only)

Description (Need to explain tools/ Features used while designing)

• Sketch: The sketch is created in XZ plane and YZ plane for the cutout

• Contour flange:It gives uniform thickness and length for the given sketch

• Normal cutout: The cutout is made from the sketch provided

• Break corner: This feature is used to cutout shape edges and give smooth edges

• Unbend: It is unbend to add features like holes

• Normal cutout :The hole is been cutout from the sheet metal as per the sketch provided

• Hole: Hole features give specified hole on the sheet metal

• Rebend: Once the features are added, the sheet metal can be rebend

• Advance flange: This option connects the tangent lines and adds the flange as per given length,direction and angle

• Normal Cutout and break corner: As per needed on the sheet metal design,the process is repeated as earlier with different sketch

• Advance flange: The feature is added to the shape on the sheet metal

• Gusset:This feature connects different faces and adds strength,prevents the sheet metal from failure

• Flat pattern: This view is created to see the sheet metal model, metal bracket in 2D or Flat view
