Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket
Design of Sheetmetal Bracket using NX Cad
OBJECTIVE:
- To design the bracket using the features available in the NX sheetmetal workbench.
- To learn and familiar about the tools and steps involved in designing the sheetmetal bracket.
INTODUCTION:
In this project we are designing a sheetmetal casing with NX CAD on sheetmetal workbech. NX is a advance CAD, CAM, CAE software. It is a PLM (Product lifecycle Management )
software having next generation designing tools and technology.
DESIGN METHODOLOGY:
DESCRIPTION:
SKETCH:-
The Sketch is a 2D-dimensional representation of the model with the respect to plane/view.
CONTOUR FLANGE:-
It will extrude the outline of the sketch along the vector.
NORMAL CUTOUT:-
This is a feature to cut out a section of a part with reference to a sketch.
UNBEND:-
This is a feature use to flatten the bend & flanges in a sheetmetal part.
BEAD:-
This feature is also used to drop or lift the material along a counter of sketch that simulates staming a tool.
REBEND:-
This feature is used to restore a flatten sheetmetal part.
HOLE:-
This feature is use to create a hole to any part with preffered type and specification of holes.
Flat pattern:-
It creates the flat pattern of the sheet metal in a separate sheet for its dimensions and details of the model.
DRAFTING:-
Is is the creation of drawing for the purpose of determining what are the dimensions of a part.
